Summers in Florida are miserable with the heat but the coaches did a great job to plan the length of activities and know when to take breaks, grab shade and explore other activities that allowed the campers to not wear out in the heat. Sean was excited to go every day. He enjoyed being able to work on foot skills and goalie skills at the same camp. And the Director was outstanding. Check in everyday was super motivating and we felt valued coming back each day. We will be back!

Coach John and Coach’s Pablo did a great job focusing on every child and the training John received has allowed him to improve in all areas. John was given the camper of the week award which made his day. This camp made such a difference in his commitment to improving at soccer. I plan I’m having several of his teammates from Northeast Soccer in St Pete to register for the July session. I hope that Nike continues to support this program and I would love if they had a few more sessions over the summer. Thank you!

I normally stay and watch most days and can see the improvement of not just my kids but every camper that puts in the effort. Coach John is incredible. He is a great motivator and selected a talented staff that brings this camp to another level. My son is not the most skilled soccer player but every year he improves and comes home excited to go back the next day. He even wants to cancel a camp so he can come back for a third week. I highly recommend this camp to everyone. If your son or daughter is highly skilled or just want to have fun and improve their skills they will not be disappointed. Both of my kids wish they had sessions every week of the summer.

  • The Coaches were so personable. They were engaged with Solomon as soon as he landed on the Field. Initially I met Coach Fletcher at the Check in Desk, He was very friendly and answered all my questions regarding the camp, the objectives,, and the Goal of the Camp. Then as we walked towards the soccer field, We met an array of polite and Energetc Soccer Coaches. They were approachable, very professional and fun.

Join us for an exciting week of soccer this summer at the Nike Soccer Camp at Admiral Farragut Academy, led by Co‑Directors Luke Sheekey, Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Eckerd College, and Joe Ilett, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Eckerd College. Both Luke and Joe are highly respected youth‑development coaches with extensive experience directing camps that blend modern coaching methodologies with a fun, competitive atmosphere.

The camp’s curriculum merges modern, player‑centric coaching, high‑energy activities, and exciting competitions, including our always‑popular multi‑team World Showcase Tournament event. Every session is structured to help players sharpen their skills, improve decision‑making, and thrive in a positive, development‑focused environment.

Campers will also enjoy the outstanding facilities at Admiral Farragut Academy, featuring pristine natural‑grass fields, plenty of shaded outdoor space, and refreshing access to the pool and indoor facilities to comfortably beat the Florida heat.     Luke Sheekey

    Head Women's Soccer Coach - Eckerd College

    Luke Sheekey is a renowned youth development coach with decades of experience and a proven track record of helping players grow through a detail‑oriented, passionate, and modern coaching approach. As the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Eckerd College, Luke brings some of the highest coaching qualifications in the United States and a deep commitment to teaching the game the right way. His ability to blend technical instruction, competitive energy, and player‑centered development has made him one of the region’s most respected voices in shaping the next generation of athletes.

    Head Women's Soccer Coach - Eckerd College

    Luke returned to his alma mater in 2022 as interim head coach and was officially named Head Coach in January 2023. In his first season leading the Tritons, he guided the program to its best conference finish since 2017, achieved an undefeated home record for the first time since at least 2002, and oversaw a remarkable 460‑minute shutout streak, including four consecutive clean sheets—both accomplishments unmatched in the program since the late 1990s. His impact at Eckerd has been immediate, elevating the team’s standards, culture, and competitive identity.

    His extensive coaching background spans influential leadership roles across multiple levels of the game. Luke has directed the Louisiana Olympic Development Program, led high‑school programs in New Orleans, and served as both assistant coach and associate head coach for the Baton Rouge Capitals in the Professional Development League. He also contributed significantly to youth player pathways as Assistant Director of Coaching at the Plantation Athletic Club and as head coach at Archbishop Chapelle High School. Across each stop, Luke has earned a reputation for developing technically precise, intelligent, confident players who thrive under his guidance.

    Before transitioning to coaching, Luke enjoyed a standout playing career at Eckerd College, appearing in 49 matches and recording 43 goals, 18 assists, and 104 total points—numbers that still rank second in program history. He set a single‑season assist record in 2008 and earned All‑SSC First Team honors in both 2008 and 2009, along with multiple All‑Region recognitions. His time as a student‑athlete laid the foundation for the competitive and educational standards he now brings to his coaching.

    Joe Ilett

    Head Men's Soccer Coach - Eckerd College

    Joe Ilett is a highly respected youth development coach with a long record of success across collegiate, professional, and academy soccer. Now serving as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Eckerd College, Joe brings decades of experience, deep tactical knowledge, and a player‑centered approach that emphasizes teaching, growth, and long‑term development. Known for his ability to translate complex concepts into accessible, age‑appropriate learning moments, Joe is widely regarded as a detail‑oriented mentor who helps athletes reach their full potential in a supportive, structured environment.

    Joe Ilett

    Head Men's Soccer Coach - Eckerd College

    Joe rejoined Eckerd in the spring of 2024 and quickly made a significant impact. After being named interim head coach in April and officially elevated to full head coach in December 2024, he led the Tritons to a standout year. In his first season at the helm, Joe guided Eckerd back to the SSC Tournament for the first time since 2016, highlighted by a late‑season surge that included a win over No. 23 Florida Tech and an impressive upset victory over Division I opponent Stetson. His leadership brought renewed energy, organization, and belief to the program, setting a strong foundation for continued growth.

    Joe’s coaching journey includes extensive work at the professional, academy, and youth levels, shaping him into a well‑rounded educator with a global perspective. His professional coaching background features roles with the St. Petersburg Aztecs as UPSL Head Coach during the 2021–22 season, the Colchester United Football Club in England, where he served as Development Coach and FITC Community Sport Coach, and a formative period as Technical Coach with the prestigious West Ham United academy in 2013. These experiences have equipped Joe with a modern, performance‑driven outlook that he brings to every training environment.

    Equally accomplished in youth and club coaching, Joe has made major contributions to several top development programs across the country. He spent four years with Chicago Fire Soccer, served as Director of Boys Soccer for the AYSO Region 300 Extra Program in Illinois, and coached with Lyons Township Soccer Club. In Florida, he worked with the renowned Chargers Soccer Club as both Academy Coach and Academy Director, and later contributed to the Tampa Bay United Soccer Club. Across each position, Joe has been recognized for his ability to build competitive, positive, and technically strong player pathways.

    Before his coaching career, Joe was a standout four‑year player at Eckerd College. He appeared in 67 matches, recording 25 goals and 16 assists—ranking fifth in program history in career goals and tied for fourth in career assists. He earned All‑Conference honors twice, including a Second Team selection in 2008. His playing background provides a strong foundation for the competitive insight and on‑field leadership he brings to his coaching.

    Riley Casey

    Assistant Women's Soccer Coach - Eckerd College

    Riley Casey brings a strong blend of collegiate playing experience and developing coaching expertise to the Eckerd women’s program. A four‑year Division I standout at Belmont University, Riley continued her career at Lynn University, competing as a graduate player at the Division II level. Her background across multiple competitive environments gives her a well‑rounded understanding of the game, and she brings energy, clarity, and a player‑first approach to every session. Riley’s passion for teaching, combined with her high‑level soccer education, makes her a valuable mentor for young athletes looking to grow their skills and confidence on the field.

    Joe Linley brings a strong blend of collegiate, professional, and emerging coaching experience to the staff. He served as the Interim Head Coach for the St. Leo University women’s soccer program during the 2025 season, earning respect for his leadership, communication, and player‑focused approach. Before stepping into coaching, Joe had a standout collegiate career at Lander University, where his competitiveness and technical ability set him apart.

    A product of the prestigious Aston Villa Academy, Joe played with the club from 2015–2017, gaining valuable training and exposure within one of England’s most recognized development systems. His background across high‑performance environments equips him with the insight and composure to support young players as they grow both technically and mentally.

  • Gender: Coed (Camp will now be coed, but swimming and certain drills will still be gender specific)
  • Check-In: 8:30am on Monday
  • Check-Out: Tournament play will take place on Friday from 9am-11:30am. Parents are invited to attend. Check-out will be at 12pm for ALL campers.
  • Facility: Admiral Farragut Academy Soccer Field

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from the Eckerd College coaching staff
  • Day campers: Lunch is NOT provided
  • Supervision: Staff members provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, swimwear, and a water bottle.
  • Facility: Admiral Farragut Academy Soccer Field
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

  • The Coaches were so personable. They were engaged with Solomon as soon as he landed on the Field. Initially I met Coach Fletcher at the Check in Desk, He was very friendly and answered all my questions regarding the camp, the objectives,, and the Goal of the Camp. Then as we walked towards the soccer field, We met an array of polite and Energetc Soccer Coaches. They were approachable, very professional and fun.
