  • My daughter just finished her second year of Nike soccer camp and showed an insane amount of confidence by the end of each week.
  • She was with friends and challenged with learning, even in extreme heat- she was able to learn and enjoy herself.
  • Scrimmaging and some of the games he played while in the camp were his favorites.
  • James (6 yrs old)attended the half day camp and often asked us if he could stay for the rest of the day when we picked him up (despite the 95+ degree temperatures). He really enjoyed his time at soccer camp and could tell us about a few new things he learned and friends that he made. I was a little disappointed that the half day campers didn't get the skill sheets at the end of camp. Would have been nice for us parents to see exactly what was worked on and would have been a prompt for us to get more details from our son. Outside of that one suggestion all camp staff was friendly and encouraging and I felt our child was safe and being looked after well especially in the heat. Thank you!
  • She missed the first day because I registered her late but I still was able to get her in. The person running the camp said they were out of shirts though so unfortunately she didn't get one and from what the kids said there was a closing ceremony, pictures and a special guest but they missed all of that because they only attended the half day. She had fun at the camp though outside of those bummers.

Coach Sean Matteo and Nike Soccer Camps are excited to host this camp in Pitman, NJ. The Total Turf Experience Complex is about 17 miles southeast of Philadelphia, making it a convenient summer camp facility for parents working in the city. Camp is for boys and girls ages 6-16. Throughout the week coaches will implement a progressive curriculum focused on fun and skill development so each camper leaves the week having improved as a soccer player, had fun, and met new friends.

    Camp Director

    Coach Sean is a native of Pitman, NJ where he played for Pitman High School from 2005-2009. During his career at Pitman, he led the Panthers in scoring his senior year and was named First Team Tri-County Conference and Second Team SJ.

    After graduating from Pitman, he attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick where he joined the Men’s Soccer team as a goalkeeper. He graduated in 2014 earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and psychology. During his time with the Scarlet Knights, Sean earned American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Since graduating, Sean played with the Ocean City Nor’easters reserves squad and, most recently, played for Phoenix SC in the United Soccer League of Pennsylvania. While with Phoenix, Sean featured in many first team matches including playing in multiple state cup games and was on the roster for Phoenix’s Lamar Hunt Open Cup qualifying run.

    Since 2014, Sean has been seen on the sidelines at Pitman High School as the Head Girls Soccer Coach from 2015-2017, at Holy Spirit High School as the Head Boys Soccer Coach in 2017, at Buena High School as an Assistant Boys’ Soccer Coach in 2018, Absegami High School as an Assistant Girls Soccer Coach in 2019 and the Head Boys Soccer Coach from 2020-2022. He returned in 2023 to Holy Spirit High School to restart their Boys Soccer program as its Head Coach and still works as their Director of Guidance.

    This past season, Sean became the Head Girls Soccer Coach at Ocean City High School leading the team to a Cape Atlantic League Championship and advancing to the South Jersey Group 3 finals. Additionally, he coaches for the NJ Olympic Development program. Coach Sean currently holds his National D License from US Soccer along with many certifications through United Soccer Coaches and the National Federation of High Schools. He is also a certified School Counselor in New Jersey after completing his masters degree in 2024.

Under the guidance of experienced coaches, campers sharpen their technical skills through focused training, small-sided games, and dynamic drills—building confidence and a passion for the game along the way.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from coach Sean Matteo and his experienced staff
  • Meals: Lunch is NOT provided
  • Supervision: Staff members reside in rooms strategically placed throughout the dorm to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
  • Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camps t-shirt

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Athletic clothing
  • Soccer Cleats (no metal studs)
  • Shin guards

  • Small gym bag/backpack

SOCCER BALLS

Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out once the order has processed. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
