Located in Whitefish, Montana, near Glacier National Park and serving the Flathead Valley, the Nike Soccer Camp delivers a high-quality youth soccer training experience led by an experienced collegiate coaching staff. Open to players of all skill levels, the camp provides a structured, development-focused environment designed to build confidence, technical ability, and overall game understanding.

Campers train through a curriculum that emphasizes ball mastery, passing and receiving, dribbling, shooting, small-sided play, and decision-making. Sessions are led by college coaches and supported by collegiate players who bring the demands and standards of the college game into age-appropriate, engaging training activities.

Serving families across Whitefish and the Flathead Valley, this Nike Soccer Camp combines expert instruction with a positive learning environment to help players continue progressing in their soccer development.

    Enda Crehan

    Camp Co-Director & Head Coach - CBU Men's Soccer

    Crehan was announced as the new Head Men's Soccer Coach in May of 2020. Crehan comes to CBU after spending three seasons as the head coach at Ferrum College (Va.). In his first year at CBU, he led his squad to a second place finish in the GSC Tournament.The Newbridge, Galway, Ireland native has 69 victories as a head coach, but his teams have also excelled off the pitch. His 2019 team, at Ferrum, earned the highest GPA (3.19) of all FC men's teams. He has also coached five Academic All-Americans, five academic all-conference members and the 2015 NSCAA NJCAA Student-Athlete of the Year, Elias Tamburini, who is a professional player in Iceland.

    • 29-22-2 in three seasons at Ferrum College (Va.)
    • Three straight winning seasons for team that had just three in program history
    • Coached four all-conference selections
    • Guided Ferrum to the 2018 ODAC Tournament (first appearance for any FC team in an ODAC Championship)
    • 40-16-6 in three seasons at Patrick Henry Community College (Va.)
    • Region 10 Coach of the Year
    • Coached three NJCAA All-Americans and five Academic All-Americans
    • Assistant AD for International Student Recruitment
    • 57-7 record in three seasons as head coach of Carlisle School (Va.)
    • Two VIC conference championships
    • Serve three seasons as assistant coach and scout at USL 2 team Carolina Dynamo
    • UEFA B License – USSF Youth License – NSCAA Premier and Master Diploma
    • Master of Business Administration from Averett University
    • Bachelor of Science in International Business from Post University

    Doug Mello

    Camp Co-Director

    Doug Mello is a legendary figure in American collegiate soccer, widely recognized for his longevity and his unique ability to build programs from the ground up. Over a career spanning more than 45 years, he set records for the most matches coached in collegiate history. Mello’s coaching journey began in 1978 when he was hired by Aquinas College at age 20, making him the youngest head coach in the history of U.S. collegiate sports. He eventually retired from full-time college coaching after the 2022 season, having amassed an incredible 1,299 collegiate matches. He is the only coach in NCAA/NAIA history to reach the milestone of 400+ wins with men’s teams and 275+ wins with women’s teams.

    Key Achievements & Milestones:

    • The "Architect": Mello is famous for starting five different collegiate programs from scratch (Siena Heights Men/Women, Luther Women, and Carroll Men).

    Statistical Records:

    • 700+ Career Wins: Crossed the 700-win threshold in 2012.
    • Longevity: Coached more collegiate games than any other individual (final tally near 1,300).
    • Conference Dominance: Holds the NCAA Division III record for 42 consecutive conference victories.
    • Professional & Indoor Experience: He coached the Des Moines Menace (USISL) to the Final Four in 1995 and had stints with the Sioux City Breeze and the Tallahassee Scorpions (EISL).
    • Hall of Fame Status: Inducted into the Halls of Fame at Siena Heights University, Luther College, and Aquinas College.

    Current Status:

    Though he retired from the collegiate level in 2022, Mello remains active in the soccer community. In 2023, he took over as the head girls' soccer coach at Glacier High School in Kalispell, Montana, stating, "I retired from Carroll, but not from soccer." He also continues to serve as a Nike Soccer Camp Co-Director, leading high-level youth training sessions in Montana. Mello currently serves as the Technical Director for the National Men’s Futsal Team with the Philippine Football Federation.

Nike Soccer Camps provide a fun and challenging environment where players are grouped by age and ability to maximize development. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, campers sharpen their technical skills through focused training, small-sided games, and dynamic drills—building confidence and a passion for the game along the way.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from the Nike Soccer Camps coaching staff

  • Day campers: Lunch or snacks are not provided. Please bring a packed lunch. There will be a water station available to fill up and stay hydrated

  • Supervision: Staff members are strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities

  • Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camp t-shirt

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper-to-coach ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience

  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.

  • Facility: Smith Fields

  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
