Micah's journey through soccer has taken him across continents and roles, starting with Tyler Junior College in Texas and David Lipscomb University in Tennessee. He ventured into semi-pro with Woden Valley FC in Australia and then professionally with Chiang Mai FC in Thailand. Transitioning from player to student, he pursued studies in Spain with Malaga FC.

    Micah Johnson 150x150

    Micah Johnson

    Camp Director

His coaching path began with Coerver Coaching, swiftly progressing to Academy Director for their camps in Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Florida, focusing on technical skills for two years. Subsequently, he co-founded the Central Arkansas Alliance soccer club, achieving notable success before partnering with FC Dallas to establish FC Dallas Central Arkansas, the region's sole affiliate. During this time he was also able to work as an understudy for two of the best coaches in the area, Jon Ireland & Greg Harris at Harding University.

After three years as Technical Director, Micah embarked on a new role in Scotland, serving as a statistician for Forfar Farmington, a prominent women's team in the Scottish Premier League. This experience enriched his coaching acumen in a distinctive setting.

Returning to Texas, he contributed as an assistant coach at Texas Woman's University soccer program while concurrently serving as Academy Director for Fever United. Under the mentorship of Division 2 coaching standout Babak Abouzar, Micah honed his skills.

Today, as Youth Director at LFC IA Washington, Micah's coaching philosophy is driven by his passion for empowering players to embrace creativity, confidence, and values such as honesty, commitment, communication, competitiveness, and adaptability. Beyond developing soccer proficiency, his ultimate goal is to nurture individuals of strong character.
