Our summer Nike Softball Camp at In The Net Sports Complex in Palmyra, PA presents campers with the opportunity to experience an elite training environment! At camp, all aspects of the game will be covered including fielding, hitting, base running, and game-like situations.     Coach John Albarano has over 30 years of softball coaching experience both in high school and elite level Travel Softball. A noted and well sought out hitting coach, John is a certified Rapsodo Hitting Instructor and a Certified Rob Crews/Complete Game Hitting Instructor

    As a high school coach, Albarano took over a Lower Dauphin High School program that had previously gone 2-17, In Albarano’s first year as Head Coach he led the team to a 17-3 season which included a Mid-Penn Keystone Conference Championship and a fourth place finish in the powerful PIAA District Three.

    Albarano was named the 2022 Mid-Penn Keystone Coach of the year and also named the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coach of the Year by Overtime Sports Harrisburg. Albarano’s 2022 Lower Dauphin Team placed a record 7 players on the All Mid-Penn Conference Team including the 2022 Conference Player of the year.

    Albarano has coached numerous Pennsylvania State Softball Coaches Association First and Second Team selections and in 2022 had a player selected as an Extra Innings Softball First Team High School All-American.

    As a travel coach, Albarano has served as a head coach with the Lady Warriors program from Williamsport, PA. , one of the oldest travel organization on the East Coast.

    Albarano has also served as the Head Coach of the Frozen Ropes USA 18u National Team and as the Head Coach of the prestigious Frozen Ropes Hershey Team which has one numerous elite level USA and USSSA Tournaments, including the only team to win three consecutive championships at the RockFest New England College Showcase (2021-2023)

    Albarano currently coaches the USSSA Hershey Pride 18u Team, part of the USSSA Pride National Program.

    Albarano has produced 14 players who have been selected to participate in the elite level USSSA Select 30 National Training Camp in Viera, Florida – a select training program for high performing travel players.

    Albarano was the founder and director of Frozen Ropes Hershey, an affiliate of Frozen Ropes USA National Training Centers – an elite level training facility for baseball and softball players.

    Originally from Williamsport, PA. John and his family now reside in Hershey, PA.

Camp Details

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, specific position fielding, base-running, and game situations. In addition, pitchers will have the opportunity to work with pitching instructors. You can expect high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Check-in: 30 minutes prior to camp start time
  • Meals: Lunch in not provided. Please bring a healthy snack/lunch to camp each day.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. Please note that US Sports Camps does NOT provide equipment and is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

DIRECTOR NOTE TO CAMPERS

"Join us at the In The Net, Nike Softball Camp where players have the opportunity to receive instruction from some of the elite Travel Ball Coaches and Instructors in Pennsylvania. Directing the camp is Coach John Albarano who has over 30 years of coaching experience and is confident he will be able to help all softball players learn valuable lessons they can use on and off the field. He will be assisted by current college players.

We encourage athletes of all abilities to sign up and take advantage of this great week of camp."

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
