Nike Softball Camps is excited to host camp this summer at Alverno College, offering players of all skill levels the opportunity to improve every aspect of their game in a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment. Athletes will receive quality instruction focused on developing fundamentals and advancing overall performance.

Campers will work on hitting, fielding, pitching, base running, and game strategy while building confidence and forming lasting friendships. Whether you’re looking to refine your skills or take your game to the next level, this camp provides the perfect setting for growth, competition, and summer fun.

    Shawn Grimm

    Camp Director

    Shawn Grimm was appointed as the Head Softball Coach at Alverno College in August 2025, bringing over a decade of elite coaching experience to the program. A specialist in offensive strategy and player development, Coach Grimm has successfully led programs at the high school, travel, and collegiate levels.

    Prior to Alverno, Grimm served as the Assistant Coach and Hitting Coach at the University of Minnesota Morris, where his leadership in offensive schemes helped the team secure a 2025 conference playoff berth. His coaching resume includes a decade-long tenure at Waukesha North High School, where he compiled a dominant 135-66 record and mentored over 30 All-Conference selections.

    Coach Grimm is also a staple in the national travel ball circuit, having served as the Head 16u National Coach for BATS/Velocity Softball since 2012. In this role, he has been instrumental in helping dozens of high school athletes achieve their dreams of playing at the collegiate level.

    Coaching Highlights:

    • Collegiate Leadership: Current Head Coach at Alverno College (NCAA DIII).
    • Offensive Expert: Former Hitting Coach at the University of Minnesota Morris, specializing in film breakdown and scouting.
    • Proven Winner: Led Wauwatosa High School to its most successful season in four years (2022–2024).
    • Recruiting Insight: Over 10 years of experience guiding athletes through the college recruiting journey via BATS/Velocity Softball.

Camp Details

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

CAMP INFORMATION

  • Dates: June 22-25, 2026
  • Age Group: 7-14
  • Camp Type: Day Camp, Extended Day
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday- Day Camp 9:00am-3:00pm, Extended Day Camp 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Gender: Girls
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Daily Softball Instruction
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Nike Softball Camp T-Shirt and other items

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Camper Ability Level(s) (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced): ALL-General Skills Camp

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facility available during inclement weather- Alverno Softball Field (Outdoor) Reiman Gymnasium (Indoors).

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
