at Nike Softball Camps

Nike Softball Camps is excited to return to the Las Vegas Area in 2026. Hosted at College of Southern Nevada in Henderson, campers have a unique opportunity to train under the direction of the amazing CSN Softball Coaching Staff and make lifelong memories. Training happens at the Lady Coyote Softball Field on campus at College of Southern Nevada.

Day Camp (9:00am-4:00pm)

This day camp operates from 9:00am-4:00pm each day and offers high-quality training, a top-notch coaching staff, and fun skills competitions for prizes. Campers must bring their own lunch.

The Nike Softball Camp at College of Southern Nevada is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. Athletic facilities and coaches are subject to change. The camp is not owned, sponsored, controlled or endorsed by College of Southern Nevada.

    Ashley Johnson is the head softball coach at College of Southern Nevada and serves as a lead coach for Next Athletes and Nike Softball Camps.

    Head Softball Coach, College of Southern Nevada

    Ashley Johnston is entering her seventh season as the head coach of the Lady Coyotes. She brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to the College of Southern Nevada. Prior to joining CSN, Johnston led the Lady Jets of Northern Oklahoma College to a 32-24 season, finishing fourth in the Region 2 Conference. Before her tenure at NOC, she spent a year at Polk State College in Winter Haven, FL, competing in the Region 8 Conference.

    Johnston's coaching career began at Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) in Athens, TX, where she started the softball program in 2008. Over eight years in the DI Region XIV conference, she compiled an overall record of 260-247. In 2013, after four years of building the program, she led TVCC to a school-record 33 wins and qualified for the National Tournament in St. George, Utah. The team was also the 2013 regional runner-up for Region XIV. In 2014, the Lady Cardinals posted a 31-win season, narrowly missing a return to the National Tournament. Johnston's success earned her national rankings, finishing 2013 ranked 14th and starting the 2014 season ranked 12th.

    Before her time at TVCC, Johnston was the head coach at York College in York, NE, leading the Lady Panthers to a fourth-place conference standing and a second-place finish in the conference tournament. She began her coaching career as an assistant at Paris Junior College in Paris, TX, where she helped lead the Lady Dragons to their first-ever Region XIV tournament appearance, finishing third. She then served as the interim head softball coach at College of the Desert in Palm Springs, CA, where the Lady Roadrunners placed third in the Foothill Conference.

    Johnston is a native of West Monroe, LA, where she played for the West Monroe Lady Rebels and won her first 5A State Softball title in 1998. She played in the Region XIV conference while attending Bossier Parish Community College, graduating with an Associate's Degree in 2003. She continued her playing career with the Lady Techsters at Louisiana Tech University and finished at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and a Minor in Psychology. Johnston completed her Master's Degree in Kinesiology at Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX, in 2006 while coaching at Paris Junior College.

    Tiffany Subia is the assistant softball coach at College of Southern Nevada and is a lead coach for Next Athletes and Nike Softball Camps.

    Tiffany Subia is entering her seventh year as Assistant Softball Coach for CSN. She began her college career at Texarkana College in 2007, where she played softball for two years. After completing her studies at Texarkana, she continued her athletic and academic journey at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) in San Antonio, Texas. There, she helped start the softball program in 2009 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

    During her two-year career at OLLU, Tiffany achieved numerous accolades, including being named to the All-Conference Team, earning multiple Pitcher of the Week honors, and being recognized as a Scholar Athlete. She remains a prominent figure in OLLU's record books, holding the third-most career wins (23), the most innings pitched (219.2), the most strikeouts (155), and the fourth-most career shutouts (5). She also holds the second-best ERA in a season (1.87). Her career stats at OLLU are a 2.68 ERA, a 23-14 record, 155 strikeouts, and a .308 batting average. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Tiffany was inducted into the OLLU Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

    After earning her bachelor's degree in 2011, Tiffany began her coaching career at Trinity Valley Community College alongside Ashley Johnston. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s in Business Administration in the spring of 2020.

    Tiffany is married and has two beautiful daughters.

    Westy McQueen

    Camp Administrator

    Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at Boise State University and Westminster University. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, sport development experience for each child. Westy is a Positive Coaching Alliance certified coach, Level II U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach, and specializes in a variety of sports including tennis, volleyball, soccer, golf, and football.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. Please note that US Sports Camps does NOT provide equipment and is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Catchers gear (if applicable)

  • LUNCH! (Lunch is not provided for day campers)
  • Please label all luggage and athletic equipment with an easily identifiable tag which has the camper’s full name and contact info

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
