Since taking over the program in 2015, Miller has guided Framingham State Softball to six MASCAC Tournament Championships, four MASCAC Regular Season Titles, and six NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program’s first NCAA victories and first national ranking. Since 2017, the Rams have posted a dominant 126-28 (.818) record against MASCAC opponents.

In 2025, the Rams posted a 27-15 overall record and went 10-4 in conference play, earning the #2 seed in the MASCAC Tournament. The team advanced to the championship game, falling just short of their fourth straight title.

The 2024 season saw Miller become the program’s all-time wins leader with a 17-4 victory over SUNY Brockport and later earn his 200th career win. The Rams captured their third consecutive MASCAC Championship, defeating the top seed twice, including a decisive 10-2 run-rule win in the title game. They added their fourth NCAA Tournament victory by defeating #20 Husson and snapping their 30-game win streak.

In 2023, the Rams set a school record with 33 wins, won the MASCAC Regular Season Title with a 13-1 mark, and cruised through the tournament with three straight five-inning run-rule victories. They earned their third NCAA Tournament win with a 4-0 shutout of UMass Dartmouth. The season saw numerous team and individual records broken.

The 2022 Rams earned their fourth MASCAC title in five seasons, rallying through the loser’s bracket and overcoming two seventh-inning deficits in elimination games before defeating the top seed twice on the final day.

After the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19, the Rams returned in 2021 with a 29-8 record and a perfect 10-0 MASCAC mark, earning their third regular season title in four years and the program’s first NFCA Top 25 national ranking.

Miller’s earlier seasons included a shared regular season title in 2019, a dramatic tournament championship in 2018, and a breakout 2017 campaign that saw the Rams win a then-record 31 games, claim both the regular season and tournament titles, and earn their first NCAA postseason win. Miller was named MASCAC Coach of the Year in 2017.

Before joining Framingham State, Miller spent four years at SUNY Cortland, serving as Assistant to the Athletic Director and assistant softball coach. During his tenure, Cortland won two SUNYAC titles, made three NCAA Tournament appearances, and reached the NCAA Division III World Series twice, including a national runner-up finish in 2013. He was part of the 2013 NFCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year.

Miller holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland. In addition to his roles at Framingham State, he coaches with the Polar Crush travel softball organization and serves as Area Commissioner for USA Softball of Massachusetts. He resides in Northborough, Mass. with his wife Andrea, daughter Naomi, and dog Rudy.
