Sign up for the Nike Softball Camp at Canyon View High School and enjoy collegiate-level coaching. Join Nike Camp Director and former "Coach of the Year" Sandra Wente in the perfect environment to gain exposure to amazing coaches while improving skills. During camp, players will develop fundamentals and advanced skills around all facets of the sport while participating in fun games and competitions. This camp is open to campers ages 8-14 of all skills and abilities.

This camp is open to any and all entrants and is only limited by age, gender and number.

Head Coach Sandra Wente

Coach Wente is in her third season as an assistant coach for Grand Canyon University.

In 2023, the Lopes earned their second consecutive WAC Championship Tournament title, and returned the NCAA Los Angeles Regional where they defeated No. 2 UCLA for their first post-season victory in program history. Wente also assisted in coaching the winningest season in GCU softball history (47 wins).

Prior to her time at GCU, Wente won two National Junior College Athletic Association National Championships and oversaw five All-Americans. Her 18 years of experience includes working at an instructor at many nationwide college camps, including Arizona State, Oklahoma, Stanford, CSU Northridge and Oregon, and for Amateur Softball Association Junior Olympic camps.

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

CAMP INFORMATION

Please join the Priority List to be notified when this program opens for 2025 registrations.

Camp Type: Day Camp
Schedule: Monday | Saturday-Sunday, 9:00am-3:00pm
Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day

Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
