Our Nike junior tennis camp at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas offers both day and overnight camp options for boys and girls of all skill levels. The Arkansas State University tennis camp delivers world-class tennis training as well as supervised match play and gives each camper a positive learning environment to enhance their skills and enjoy the game.

Operations Director Chase Hardin
Coach Chase Hardin started his coaching career at Liberty Christian School in 2009. He grew a program of about 16 players to over 50 players, eventually leaving the program to head to his alma mater Kaufman High School to become the Girls' Head Tennis Coach and Math Teacher.

CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION
- Camp Type(s) Offered: Full Day (Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm) & Overnight

SKILL LEVELS & GROUP PLACEMENT
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Campers are then sorted by ability first, then age per the Camp Director's discretion - adjustments are made as needed during camp.
While there are many ways to define skill levels, the following descriptions are what the Camp Directors at Nike Tennis Camps will use to organize and group camp participants. At the time of registration, please choose the level that best represents your athlete's experience:
Beginner: Players new to the game with little to no formal tennis instruction. They are still learning the fundamentals, focusing on basic skills and rules of the game. Typically play for recreation and have minimal match-play experience.
Intermediate: Players who can serve and sustain rallies with consistency. They are comfortable hitting medium-paced shots but may struggle with all strokes and directional control. Some may have participated in local tournaments and possess a UTR rating or are equivalent to a High School JV player.
CAMP SCHEDULE
- Overnight Camper Check-in: Overnight campers will check in on Sunday at 1:00pm at Kays Hall
- Day Camper Check-in: All campers need to check in on Monday at the Arkansas State Tennis Complex between 8:00am-8:30am
- Check-out: Staff will have all campers checked out of dorms on Thursday morning. All parents are invited to join us for our closing ceremony at the Arkansas State tennis complex beginning at 3:30. Immediately following the ceremony, you will be able to pick up your child's stuff at the dorm.
- Day Camp Program: Monday-Wednesday 8:30am-5:00pm, Thursday 8:30am-3:30pm
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Daily tennis training, morning and afternoon sessions
- Supervision: Staff members provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
- Camp T-shirt & Prizes: All campers receive a Nike Tennis Camps t-shirt and prizes
EQUIPMENT, FACILITY & MORE
- Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle
- Facility: Arkansas State Tennis Complex: 6 outdoor courts.
- Inclement Weather Plan: We have always planned our camp with "mother nature" in mind. If it were to rain we will always have some sort of activity usually dealing with the mental part of the game. For example, we will have stations where we talk about "College Tennis", "RTP", "Agility", and "Mental Toughness" and these are only a few examples of things we have planned.
- Medical Protocol: We have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital
HOUSING
- Dorm: Kays Hall
- Number of Campers per Room: 2
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual and received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!

MEALS
- All meals are included for overnight campers. Lunch will be provided for day campers Monday-Thursday.
PARKING
- Daily Parking: Parking is available at the Soccer and Tennis Facility on campus
TRAVEL
Nike Tennis Camp does not provide any transportation to/from camp from airports, train stations, or bus depots.

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.
Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date).

Athletic, on-court tennis clothing

Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)
Spending Money is encouraged (campers will get to go to the A-State Spirit Store)

Athletic clothing mentioned above (1-2 pairs/day)
Comfortable off-court clothing (pants/shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts 1 paid/day)
Undergarments (1-2pair/day)
Swimsuit and towel *We will have access to the pool at different times throughout the week. Pool use will be determined the week of camp and is subject to availability. Please pack a swimsuit and towel just in case!
