The Nike Tennis U12 Camp at Concord Academy, located at the scenic Moriarty Athletic Campus in Concord, MA, is designed specifically for beginner - intermediate level players ages 6-12. Set in a beautiful location with six tennis courts, a clubhouse, and 12 acres of open field space, this camp offers an ideal environment for young players to start their tennis journey!
As part of the "12 & Under Program," this camp features the USTA’s acclaimed teaching format, providing a fun and effective way for kids to learn and compete. Using age-appropriate courts and low-compression balls (RED, ORANGE, and GREEN), campers can more easily hit the ball, improve accuracy, and develop solid swing patterns. Campers are grouped by age and ability to ensure tailored instruction, helping them build skills, confidence, and a love for the game.

CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION
- Camp Type(s) Offered: U12 Half Day (9:00am-11:30am) & U12 Full Day (9:00am-3:00pm)
- Gender: Coed
- Age Range: 6-12
- Skill Levels: Beginner & Intermediate
- 12 and Under Program (U12): The "12 & Under Program" features the USTA’s successful teaching format. This is an exciting way for kids ages 12 & under to learn to play tennis as well as compete. The courts are age-appropriate and balls are low compression so they are easier to hit, allowing kids to get to the ball and develop optimal swing patterns. This program uses only RED, ORANGE, and GREEN BALLS.
- U12 Tournament Training Program: Advanced/Tournament level campers ages U12 can enroll in the U12 Tournament Training Program at Middlesex School
CAMP ADD-ONS
- Morning Fitness: Start the day strong with optional fitness sessions each morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. This add-on is available for an additional $60 for the week.
- Extra Day - Friday: Extend the camp experience with an additional half-day session on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for an added cost of $60.
SKILL LEVELS & GROUP PLACEMENT
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Campers are then sorted by ability first, then age per the Camp Director's discretion - adjustments are made as needed during camp.
While there are many ways to define skill levels, the following descriptions are what the Camp Directors at Nike Tennis Camps will use to organize and group camp participants.
- Beginner: Players new to the game with little to no formal tennis instruction. They are still learning the fundamentals, focusing on basic skills and rules of the game. Typically play for recreation and have minimal match-play experience.
- Intermediate: Players with experience in recreational or club settings who possess a basic understanding of strokes and rules. They are able to serve and sustain rallies with consistency, comfortably handling medium-paced shots, though they may still struggle with certain strokes and directional control. Some players in this category may have participated in local tournaments and hold a UTR/USTA rating.
HALF DAY CAMP SCHEDULE: MONDAY-THURSDAY
- 8:30am-9:00am - Daily check-in at the tennis courts. Early check-in is permitted—contact Camp Director for more details. Morning Fitness starts each morning at 8:30am.
- 9:00am-11:30am - Tennis instruction
- 11:30am-12:00pm - Daily check-out
FULL DAY CAMP SCHEDULE: MONDAY-THURSDAY
- 8:30am-9:00am - Daily check-in at the tennis courts. Early check-in is permitted—contact Camp Director for more details. Morning Fitness starts each morning at 8:30am.
- 9:00am-12:00pm - Tennis instruction
- 12:00pm-1:00pm - Lunch
- 1:00pm-3:00pm - Supervised match play & games
- 3:00pm - Daily check out
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Daily tennis training
- Supervision: Staff members participate in all activities

MEALS
- Half Day Campers: Half Day campers depart before lunch but should pack a snack and water.
- Full Day Campers: Lunch is NOT included for Full Day campers, please pack a lunch, snack, and water.
EQUIPMENT, FACILITY & MORE
- Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle
- Facility: Concord Academy's Hard-surface USTA tennis courts
- Inclement Weather Plan: In case of inclement weather, we will be using Friday as a make-up day
- Medical Protocol: In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital
MASSACHUSETTS REQUIRED CAMP FORMS
The following documents are required by the state of Massachusetts to be uploaded to the CUSTOMER PORTAL before the first day of camp.
- Physical Exam: A physical exam performed within the last 18 months that is signed by your camper's physician is required to be uploaded in the portal.
- Immunization Certificate: Immunization records must be submitted in the form of an “Immunization Certificate." This can be provided by your camper's physician. This must be uploaded in the portal.

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.
Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date).
