    Co-Director

Dylan Hamilton joined the Portland staff as an assistant coach in March of 2018, where he heavily contributed to the teams success this past season: in his first campaign with the Pilots, the team begun the season with a 12-match winning streak, finishing with the most wins in a single season in program history with 20.

After originally being hired as an assistant for the indoor squad, Hamilton was quickly promoted to become the head coach of the beach volleyball team. Under his tutelage, the relatively new program has shown growth each and every season, with the 2019 season featuring the Pilots first campaign with multiple West Coast Conference victories.

In addition to coaching and teaching, Hamilton’s main responsibilities include game analytics, video, and scouting. Hamilton also serves as the head coach for the UP Beach Volleyball team.

Hamilton comes to the Bluff from San Francisco, where he was the interim head coach of the Academy of Arts University Head coach from December 2016-Present, and named the assistant coach in 2016. His primary responsibilities at the Academy of Art while an assistant coach was general player development, setters and outside hitters, practice planning, and running drills. He also compiled all scouting reports and was in charge of video and statistics. On the administrative side, he was the team academic advisor, primary recruiting coordinator, and responsible for all team travel planning.

Before San Francisco, Hamilton was the volunteer assistant coach for the Huskies in 2015-16 and the assistant coach of Washington's Beach Volleyball program, after spending the previous three seasons as a student manager for the program. Originally from Ulupalakua, Maui in Hawaii, Hamilton began coaching club and high school volleyball while still in high school himself. He was an outside hitter who led his high school to the Division II state title as a senior in 2010, becoming the first team from Maui to win a Hawaii state volleyball title. He has since played beach volleyball on the AVP, competing in the Manhattan Beach Open in 2014 and taking fourth in the CBVA Long Beach Open in 2015.

SCHOLARSHIPS

We cannot offer scholarships due to NCAA regulations. Our affiliation with NCAA coaches and schools puts us in a position where any scholarship money can be seen as an inducement to a future collegiate athlete. This puts our coaches and our host universities in jeopardy of damaging their status with the NCAA and incurring penalties at the hands of their organizing body.

Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
