The women's volleyball has posted 20+ win seasons in all four of Anderson's tenure, the longest streak to date.

During the 2023 women's volleyball season, he earned his 100th career coaching victory against Salve Regina Sept. 16, and then he led the Pride to a school-record 26 victories, including a 14-1 record within the GNAC.

Anderson became the winningest coach in program history during the 2025 season, surpassing the previous mark of 39 set by Scott Wright (2012-2016).

    Prior to Regis:

He served as Head Coach at Colby-Sawyer College, compiling a 52–48 record with the women’s program and a 21–22 mark with the men’s team. He led the women’s team to the NAC Tournament Championship match in 2017 and coached a Division III statistical champion, Orlando Plagata, who led the nation in digs per set (3.66).

Prior to his time at Colby-Sawyer, he was Head Coach at San Gabriel High School and an Assistant Coach at Briar Cliff University from 2014 to 2016. While at Briar Cliff, he helped guide the women’s program to back-to-back NAIA national championship appearances. In his second season, the men’s team earned top-10 national poll votes for the first time.

    Athletic Career

As a student-athlete, he was a four-year starter for the Endicott College men’s volleyball program. He helped the team capture NECC championships in 2013 and 2014 and played a key role in Endicott’s first NCAA Tournament victory—a sweep over MIT in 2014. In 2013, he led the team with 249 kills and 2.57 kills per set, and ranked second with 84 blocks.

  • Scott Grandpre

    Scott Grandpre

    Co-Director

Scott Grandpre is recognized as one of the most influential volleyball coaches in the New England area. He wears a number of hats including Director of New England AAU Volleyball, Director of Boston UVC, and former Head Volleyball Coach at Simmons University. Scott designs the camp curriculum and is involved with hiring and training staff, but is not always present on-court during camp.

    Scott Grandpre

    Scott Grandpre

    Co-Director

Coach Grandpre has played and coached Division 1 Volleyball. He has succeeded at every level as a player and coach including:

    • 43-15 all time conference record @ Simmons University including 2019 GNAC Coach of the Year
    • 4 year starter, 2 year captain, and all-time record holder for digs and aces @ Division I Sacred Heart University
    • MVP of the New England Region as a Juniors player

In just five seasons since joining Simmons for the 2015 season, Head Coach Scott Grandpre has taken the program to heights never experienced before.

The Sharks mentor guided the squad to a 21-10 season record in 2017, including 11-1 in conference play, to establish school records for both regular season and conference wins. Grandpre saw Simmons vie for the conference championship for the first time in school history that year, following a program-best 12-match win streak, bolstered by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Grandpre was named the GNAC Coach of the Year in 2019 after repeating his conference success from 2017, directing the Sharks to an 11-1 league mark again to capture the number two seed in the conference championship tournament. The team finished the season with a 19-9 mark to record the highest winning percentage in school history at .679, which was backed by a school-record five all-conference honorees, including a first teamer and the conference Rookie of the Year.

The Rhode Island native has coached the Sharks to great success in conference play with five straight winning records against league foes, while compiling a 43-15 (.741) mark to go with an appearance in the conference title match and a pair of semifinal nods. During Grandpre's five-year tenure at the Fenway school, he has turned the Sharks into one of the best serving teams in the nation, consistently ranking among the nation's leaders, placing ninth among Division III schools in 2017, 11th following the 2015 campaign, 15th last year and 28th in 2019. He has already coached 14 All-Conference performers and as a tribute to his recruiting prowess, he counts among his players -- a conference Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and three First Team All-Conference selections.

Grandpre came to Boston following five years of experience as a coach at the NCAA Division I level. He spent the past four seasons on the sideline of the Sacred Heart University women's program. While with the Pioneers, he directed drills and administered on-court instruction. He was an integral part to the team's scouting effort and also used analytics to help prepare the squad for upcoming opponents as well as making adjustments and improving the Pioneers' play as a team and individuals. The Sacred Heart graduate also managed game-day events and fundraising efforts.

Prior to his three-year stint with the women's program, Grandpre enjoyed a four-year playing career with the Pioneers. He was a two-year Captain for the men's squad and graduated in 2010 as the program's single-season record-holder for service aces and digs. Following his playing career, he wasted no time getting into the coaching ranks as an assistant for the University of Rhode Island women's team, before returning to his alma mater a season later to serve as an assistant for the men's program.

In addition to his coaching duties at the collegiate level, Grandpre has worked hard to establish his presence in area volleyball circles. He is the Director of New England Amateur Athletic Union and is the Founder and Director of the RIPP Boston Volleyball Club. He has also served as a Master Coach for the TCA Volleyball Club team, while serving as Director of Volleyball Operations for the Northeast Volleyball Showcase in Trumbull, Conn.

SCHOLARSHIPS

We cannot offer scholarships due to NCAA regulations. Our affiliation with NCAA coaches and schools puts us in a position where any scholarship money can be seen as an inducement to a future collegiate athlete. This puts our coaches and our host universities in jeopardy of damaging their status with the NCAA and incurring penalties at the hands of their organizing body.

Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
