WHAT FAMILIES SAY ABOUT Cal Boys Water Polo Summer Camp

A huge highlight of the camp was that my child was able to use the new State of the Art Legends Aquatic Center for their Summer 2017 camp experience. He also got personal instruction from Coach Everest and Asst. Coach Jeff, of the CAL collegiate team, and from the collegiate players. It was a very well run camp with an emphasis on having fun, improving their skill set and knowledge of the game of water polo. At the end of the camp each child received a 2016 CAL Water Polo Championship poster. My son attended the 9 AM - 5 PM day camp for the second year in a row and he learns something new each camp year.
This camp is a very helpful experience. All of the coaches are very hands-on and provide great examples of how to apply the new information gained. I will be coming back next summer!
Our son learned a ton about playing goalie. He has much more confidence since this camp. He had a great time! The highlight of his camp was blocking a coach's shot during the scrimmage. He said he thought the shot broke his wrist, but he's really proud that he did it. Coaches were all FANTASTIC! Our son will be back next year.
It was so awesome to be coached by such high level coaches and players. They were very encouraging and made it a lot of fun. I learned some new things and will definitely put them to use on my club and high school teams. I can't wait to come back next year!
Great camp! There was lots of good food and fantastic instruction from not only the Cal Water Polo team, but from the Cal Coaches themselves! It was the highlight of my son's summer!
The coaching staff is always excellent ... knowledgeable, fun, patient, instructive. The skills learned are different from year to year which is huge. The coaches provide physical and verbal explanations for what they are learning which increases knowledge of the game.
This camp was amazing. All of the player/coaches and coach/coaches were positive and engaging with both the campers and the parents. The training was age and skill-level appropriate and challenged the boys to bring their games to the next level. Several of our players attended and their performance at JO qualifiers the following weekend demonstrated the new and improved skills they had learned.
Cal water polo camp is very well balanced with targeted instruction in the pool and fun outside of the pool. The coaching and tips my son received have been invaluable. Upon returning to his club, his coaches noticed an improvement in skill and confidence. Cal has a camper for life.
This camp was organized and really fun. My son said the food was great and hanging out with the players was THE BEST!!! The friendly coaches, good WP instruction, great ratio of coaches to campers, and facility at Cal Berkeley made this an unforgettable camp!
My son had a great time, and it was a very positive experience for him! We would have enrolled him for longer period or for more sessions if they were offered!

As a water polo coach / Dad I was extremely impressed with Cal water polo camp. It started the moment my wife dropped my son off. Jeff introduced himself and asked for her name, without looking at the camp roster he knew my son's name. Any apprehensions my wife had about dropping her 11 year old son off at camp for the week were gone within a minute of meeting Jeff. Any time we talked to our son during the week all he could talk about was how much fun he was having, how great the players and coaches were, and how much he was learning. On Friday when I picked him up I went a little early so I could watch. They were scrimmaging and Kirk was coaching their group. He was hands on, stopping play to explain technique, strategy, awareness, and having fun with the kids at the same time. What an incredible time our son had, he can't wait to go back next year. Thank you Kirk, Jeff, and all the coaches (Cal Players) for giving our son an unforgettable experience.

I would highly recommend this camp to anyone who loves water polo or wants to experience what water polo is all about. The instructors are awesome, the program is fun yet informational. Getting to meet new friends . Watching the Cal Men Water Polo game inspired the kids even more. It is well organized and my kid enjoyed every moment of it. Thanks for giving him a great experience.
