US Sports is proud to bring Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps to University of Rochester located in upstate New York. Come join Head Coach, Dan Wesley, and McDaniel Head Coach, Scott Moyer, for an unforgettable New York golf camp experience.
Campers stay in the dorms at University of Rochester and golf activities take place at Wildwood Country Club and Ravenwood Golf Club. Three hours of morning instruction is followed by lunch and 9-18 holes of course play in the afternoon. Breakfast and dinners will be held in the dining halls on campus and evening activities will be scheduled each night. Nike Golf Camp at University of Rochester will also offer a day program from 8:30am - 5:00pm for commuters.

Wild Wood Country Club
Wild Wood Country Club is located 20 minutes south of downtown Rochester in beautiful Rush, NY. This facility enjoys a Blue Tee course rating of 73.4 and 146 slope, on par with the best private clubs in the area. Water comes in to play on every hole (on the back nine) except the 10th and 18th. The course rewards you for choosing the right club and staying in the fairways. Nike campers will have morning instruction, lunch, and course play at Wild Wood three days out of the camp week.
Ravenwood Golf Club
Ravenwood is a beautiful 18 hole facility in Victor, NY that Nike campers will have the pleasure of utilizing one day during the camp week. This facility boasts a 12,000 ft practice green, 60-stall driving range, grass tees and 7 target greens.

Camp Director
Dan Wesley
Head Coach Dan Wesley returned to his alma mater in 2007 to take over the Yellowjacket golf program. A 1996 graduate of Rochester, Wesley played for the legendary Don Smith and served as team captain his senior year. While at Rochester, Wesley played in three NCAA Championships, helping the Yellowjackets to a sixth place finish and their highest ranking ever in the national poll. Wesley also was a three time all UAA selection.
Read Full BioAfter graduating from Rochester with a B.S. in Psychology, Wesley served as an assistant golf professional at The Country Club of Rochester and at The Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida before moving on to sales representative positions with both Maxfli and Srixon. While at The Country Club of Rochester, Coach Wesley learned under Sam Urzetta, the 1950 US Amateur champion and longtime Rochester sports legend, and his son Michael, the current head professional at CCR. Coach Wesley resides in Pittsford with his wife Kelly (UR ’00), daughter Emma, and son Jack.
Scott Moyer
Scott Moyer is the director of golf and men's golf coach at McDaniel College, formerly known as Western Maryland College, in Westminster, Maryland. He has led the Green Terror to (8) NCAA National Championship appearances with the most recent in 2011, where they finished ranked 19th in the country by Golfweek and Nike Coaches poll. He was named NCAA Centennial Conference "Coach of the Year" in 2011 as well.
Coach Moyer, on two levels, has won (17) conference team championships, coached (15) individual
conference champions and holds (2) NCAA coaching records. In 2005, both the men's and women's
teams' won their conference team championships as well as both individual championships, making this the first team in NCAA history to accomplish this feat.
Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps provide young golfers with the tools to enjoy this great game for a lifetime. Our curriculum is the perfect blend of expert instruction, course play and fun off-course activities. With two outstanding coaches in Dan Wesley and Scott Moyer, each Nike camper can leave at the end of the week feeling more confident about their game.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 7:00am Wake-up and breakfast on campus
- 8:00am Depart to golf course
- 8:45am Skills demonstrations conducted by Nike Camp staff
- 9:00am - Noon Small group instruction - campers rotate through stations working on putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full swing
- Noon Lunch and relaxation
- 1:00 - 5:00pm On course instruction (9-18 holes) focusing on course management, shot/club selection, rules and etiquette
- 5:45pm Dinner at University of Rochester
- 7:00 - 9:00pm Evening activities (TBD)
- 10:00pm Lights out
- The Overnight fee includes all golf instruction, green fees, evening activities, housing and meals.
- The Day Camp option includes all golf instruction, lunch, and course play. Day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the golf course each day.
- Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff lives in the dormitories with the campers and participates in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
- A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring.
