Nike Baseball Camps
Register for the Nike Baseball Camp at CSU San Marcos and enjoy top-notch coaching while making memories to last a lifetime. Open to players of all ability levels, the camp offers a unique opportunity to train under the direction of experienced coaches in a fun, competitive environment.
Overnight Camp
For the duration of the camp, players reside in the CSUSM dormitories in adjacent rooms to the camp staff while training with current and former college coaches and athletes. The tuition includes housing, meals, fun evening activities, as well as college recruiting and sports psychology seminars (parents are encouraged to attend the seminars!). This program is open to boys of all ability levels, ages 10-17, and groups are separated by age and ability level on the first day.
Day Camp (9:00am – 4:00pm)
Nike Baseball Camps also offers a summer day camp program for local players ages 8-17. This program runs 9:00am-4:00pm (schedule varies on first and last day) includes daytime training only. Campers must bring their own lunch or purchase on campus. This program is open to players of all ability levels, and groups are separated by age and ability level on the first day.
The Nike Baseball Camp at CSU San Marcos is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. The Nike Baseball Camp at CSU San Marcos is not owned, sponsored, co-sponsored or controlled by the University. Campers may be transported from campus to nearby athletic facilities by bus each day.

Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each child.

Certified Athletic Trainer Kulsum Baig
Kulsum Baig is a certified athletic trainer and handles all athletic training needs for Next Athletes’ Nike Sports Camps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.
2025 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: July 20-24, 2025
- Age Group: 8-17 (Day Camp) | 10-17 (Overnight)
- Gender: Boys
- Camp Type: Day & Overnight
- Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
- Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
- Parking: Parents can use Parking Structure 2 for all drop-offs and pick-ups. Parking on campus is $9 a day.

CAMP TIMES
- Overnight Campers Check-in: 11:30am-12:00pm at the CSUSM Sports Center.
- Day Campers Check-in: 12:00-12:30pm for day campers at the CSUSM Sports Center.
- Day Camp Schedule: Sunday, 12:30pm-4:00pm; Monday-Wednesday, 9:00am-4:00pm; Thursday, 9:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony.
- Orientation (All Campers): 12:30-12:45pm
- All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
- Last Day Check-out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm on Thursday at the CSUSM Sports Center.
Please Note: Following camp check-in, overnight campers will store their luggage in a secure room and return immediately to SRWC (Third Floor Basketball Court) for Orientation. Campers will check-in to their dormitories in the late afternoon following the first training session.
HOUSING
- Dorm: North Commons
- Campers Per Room: 2
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel
- Bathrooms: Shared bathrooms
- Air Conditioning: None. Campers are in their dorms for very limited hours during the daytime and nightly temperatures are typically mild. However, campers are welcome to bring a small fan
- Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $85 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC
PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS
Both campers and parents are invited to join us for evening educational seminars during the week. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a college athlete, and the different paths kids can take in sports. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.
SUPERVISION
The staff reside in the dormitories with the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
