Nike Baseball Camps
Get ready for Nike Baseball Camp at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California in the summer of 2025! Athletes of all abilities are encouraged to join us this summer to gain valuable baseball experience and create lasting memories. Quality facilities, knowledgeable coaches, and a positive environment are characteristics of this camp.
All fundamentals of baseball play will be addressed: throwing, running, fielding, batting, bunting, baserunning, and pitching. In addition to instruction and drill work, camp will include fun modified drills and games designed to enhance skill acquisition.
Pitcher's should not miss out on the newly added Pitching Session on June 27th and August 8. This will be a great opportunity to improve your mechanics and ability on the mound!

Director Phillip Visico
A Long Beach native and proud alumnus of Wilson High School (Class of 2010), Visico began his collegiate playing career at LBCC from 2011–2013 under the guidance of legendary Head Coach Casey Crook. His return to LBCC came in 2017, when he joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach. Over the past eight seasons, Visico has played an integral role in the program, contributing to recruiting efforts, player development, and game-day strategy—including overseeing the infield and outfield units, guiding the offense, and coaching third base.

Co-Director Ken Furuya
As the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Long Beach City College baseball program, responsible for designing and implementing year-round training regimens focused on enhancing athletic performance, preventing injuries, and supporting player development.

Assistant Coach Mitchell Knight
Mitchell Knight grew up playing baseball in the Long Beach area. He attended and played baseball for Spud O’Neil at Lakewood High School. After graduating high school, he attended Long Beach City College and played under former Head Coach, Casey Crook. Mitchell now plays at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. Mitchell knows what it takes to compete at the higher levels of baseball and offers a wide range of knowledge that can improve your game.

Assistant Coach Evan Vazquez
Evan Vazquez brings high-level collegiate experience and a strong commitment to player development to Nike Baseball Sports Camps. A standout pitcher, Evan began his college career at Long Beach City College under legendary Coach Casey Crook from 2021 to 2023. He earned Pitcher of the Conference honors in 2023 after a dominant season, throwing 88.1 innings with a 2.95 ERA and a 6-2 record.

Noah Lomeli is a dedicated and experienced baseball player who spent four years at Millikan High School before continuing his career at Long Beach City College.

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

- 4-Day Camp Dates: June 23-26, 2025 | August 4-7, 2025
- 5-Day Camp Dates: June 23-27, 2025 - Includes Friday Pitching Session | August 4-8, 2025 - Includes Friday Pitching Session
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-2:00pm | Friday Pitching Session, 9:00am-12:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time @ field.
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.
- Aftercare: This camp offers aftercare from 2:00pm-3:00pm following each day of camp. All 4 days can be purchased for an additional $100.00 fee. (Note: you cannot purchase aftercare for individual days).

Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Full college field, batting cages, and bullpens. Outdoor fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.

"Long Beach City Baseball is excited to once again offer a Nike Baseball Camp in 2025. All of our camp instructors are current college coaches or players. We offer a fast paced, fun program aimed at skill development. Each day will include challenging drills as well as scrimmage play. We look forward to seeing at LBCC this summer."
