Join us in the summer of 2025 for an exciting Nike Baseball Camp at Jimmy John's Field in Utica, MI, the home field of the United Shore Professional Baseball League (USPBL)! Camp will be directed by USPBL Field Coordinator Paul Noce. Noce is former major leaguer and skipper of the USPBL's Eastside Diamond Hoppers. Noce has mentored 16 USPBL players since 2016 who have signed major league baseball contracts and he is thrilled to pass his knowledge on to all campers who attend.
Campers 7-12 years old will have an awesome time making new friends, memories, and gaining baseball skills that will help them become better players on the field. Director Paul Noce
Paul Noce has been in the game of baseball for over 35 years including two player stints in Major League Baseball with the Chicago Cubs (1987) and Cincinnati Reds (1990). Noce was selected as a Topps All-Star for his play in Affiliated Baseball at the AA level. After his successful playing career, Noce was an instructor and manager for MLB organizations before moving on to the collegiate ranks. In 1994, he took the reins at Hillsdale College in Adrian, Mich. and amassed 349 wins during his tenure. Noce excelled at every level of baseball, winning the AAA World Series in 1988 and being a part of the 1990 Cincinnati Reds World Series. In 2012, Noce was inducted into the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame in San Mateo, Calif.

GUEST SPEAKER Jim Essian
Jim Essian, USPBL Director of Scouting & Manager of the Utica Unicorns, started his 48-year professional baseball career in 1970 with the Philadelphia Phillies in their minor league system where he was tagged as a Topps Rookie All-Star. Over the next three years he excelled at all levels of Minor League Baseball, earning all-star recognition at almost every level before breaking into Major League Baseball in 1973 with the Phillies. For the next 11 years, Essian played for the Phillies, A’s, White Sox, Mariners and Indians. After his playing career, Essian broke into coaching with the Chicago Cubs organization in 1986. In his second season as manager of the Winston-Salem Spirits, Essian brought home the Carolina League championship and was named Manager of the Year. He took the reins as manager for the Chicago Cubs in 1991, and was inducted into the Reading Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000.

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2025 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: August 4-6, 2025; Westside Woolly Mammoths vs. Eastside Diamond Hoppers on August 7
- Age Group: 7-12
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday, 9:00am-2:00pm; Tuesday-Wednesday, 9:00am-12:00pm; Thursday, Westside Woolly Mammoths vs. Eastside Diamond Hoppers
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: We will provide lunch of a hot dog, chips and soft drink or water for Day 1 of the camp.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Daily Baseball Instruction by players from the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers, Eastside Diamond Hoppers, Utica Unicorns, and the Westside Woolly Mammoths.
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Nike Baseball Camp T-Shirt, Cinch Sack, Wristband, Sticker, and potentially other prizes!
- Each camper also will receive 2 grandstand tickets to the USPBL baseball game between the Westside Woolly Mammoths and the Eastside Diamond Hoppers at Jimmy John's Field on Thursday, August 7, 2025 (7:05 pm game), and the kids will have the opportunity to participate in Baseball Buddies with our USPBL players for the game - where the kids get announced along with our starting lineup for our home team and run to their positions with them to stand for the National Anthem.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facility is available in case of weather.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
