Awvee Storey

Awvee Storey, a former professional basketball player with 11 years of experience in the NBA and internationally, brings a wealth of expertise to the Chicago Sky organization. As the former Director of Basketball Strategy and Personnel for the Sky, Storey has also held prominent roles with the Connecticut Sun and Washington Mystics, serving as the Director of Player Development. Additionally, he has contributed as an assistant coach for the Capital City Go-Go during its inaugural year and with the Maine Celtics in the NBA G-League.

With a decade-long tenure as a director for Nike Basketball youth camps in the Washington DC area, Storey is thrilled to extend his passion for working with kids to his hometown of Chicago through the Sky organization.

Having engaged with players of all ages and skill levels throughout his coaching career, Storey's unique perspective as a former player enables him to connect with children in a relatable manner. He aims to integrate a holistic approach, drawing from his professional basketball experience, into the Sky camps. Beyond honing basketball skills, Storey emphasizes the importance of holistic player development, focusing on overall well-being and fostering a sense of presence in all aspects of the game.
