Coach Ben Clark is a highly respected youth development expert with extensive experience helping young athletes grow in skill, confidence, and love for the game. With a long coaching history spanning youth, collegiate, and academy levels, Ben has dedicated his career to shaping the next generation of players through thoughtful, age‑appropriate training and an unwavering commitment to player development.
Before becoming the driving force behind Soccer SideKicks, Ben built an impressive coaching résumé that includes five years on the staff of NCAA Division II National Champions Wingate University, where he contributed to championship‑level success and the development of top collegiate talent. In 2012, he founded North Georgia United Soccer Club, becoming one of Georgia’s youngest Executive Directors at just 27 years old and guiding the club’s rapid growth and youth‑focused programming.
As a former professional player, Ben brings invaluable on‑field insight to his coaching. His playing career included time with the New York Red Bulls, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Western Massachusetts, and Wilmington Hammerheads, followed by professional experience in Finland with FC Korsholm and VPS. His background gives him a unique ability to translate high‑level concepts into meaningful learning experiences for young players.
Today, as the leader of Soccer SideKicks, Ben is passionate about introducing the sport to children in a fun, engaging, and developmentally supportive environment. His coaching philosophy centers on nurturing creativity, building confidence, and fostering foundational skills, ensuring every child leaves camp happy, improved, and excited to keep playing.
