Billy Corrao - Camp Coach

Billy Carrao is the Assistant Coach of the Adelphi University Women's Volleyball Team.

Billy Corrao returns to Adelphi as an assistant volleyball coach in the 2019 season.

No stranger to the university, Corrao was an assistant from 2007-10 where the team made an NCAA appearance in each season, including a second round appearance in 2010. The team also made two East Coast Conference Tournament semifinalist appearances in 2007 and 2008 before moving to the Northeast-10 conference where they were tournament finalists and semifinalists in 2009 and 2010, respectively.

Corrao then went on to be the Molloy volleyball program’s longest tenured coach from 2010-17. He amassed the most wins in program history, totaling 75. In his final season, the Lions were ECC regular season and tournament champions and made an NCAA first round appearance.

While at Molloy, Corrao was also responsible for running volleyball summer camps and clinics.

Prior to his time with the Lions, Corrao was part of the volleyball staff at St. Anthony's High School from 2004-07. He spent the 2004 season as an assistant girl's coach before ascending to head coach the following year. He has an overall record of 32-5 as a high school head coach and is a two-time league champion.

A 2004 graduate of St. John's University, Corrao currently resides in East Northport, New York. He is an English Language Arts teacher at Great Neck High School, where he also serves as an assistant coach for the boys and girls track program for the winter and spring seasons. He has also earned a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Adelphi University.
