Coach Bobby Young brings nearly 18 years of coaching experience to the Nike Baseball Camp at Brinkley Park in Smyrna, Georgia. With a passion for developing young athletes, Coach Bobby has dedicated 17 years to coaching at Smyrna Little League and over five years at Rhyne Park Fastpitch Softball. His extensive leadership includes guiding 12 All-Star teams, two travel teams, and countless youth recreational sports teams.
As a student of the game, Coach Bobby’s expertise spans both baseball and softball. He emphasizes teaching not only technical skills like speed, agility, and hitting mechanics but also essential qualities such as teamwork, coachability, and a winning mindset. A fervent supporter of SEC sports and a loyal Auburn Tigers fan, Coach Bobby brings his enthusiasm and knowledge to every camp session.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Coach Bobby’s love for sports began during his own baseball and football playing days. Today, he continues to inspire the next generation of athletes through his role as a Community Coach for softball and 8th/9th grade baseball teams at The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia.
Residing in Cobb County with his wife of 18 years and their daughter, who plays travel softball, Coach Bobby is committed to helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. His dedication to the game and his community makes him an invaluable part of the Nike Baseball Camp experience.
