Brittnee Cooper

Brittnee Cooper is the Assistant Volleyball Coach at the University of New Orleans.

Brittnee Cooper joined the squad as an assistant coach after her hiring was announced in April 2022.

Cooper made an indelible mark during her time at LSU as a student-athlete. In 2009, she was named SEC Player of the Year, the only one in Tigers indoor volleyball history to achieve that feat. At LSU, Cooper was twice named an All-American and was in the top ten in program history in hitting percentage and total blocks when she graduated.

Cooper coached two different stints at her alma mater and spent four years as an assistant at Tulsa. At LSU, she coached the middles and helped the Tigers move from eighth in the SEC in blocks to third last season at 2.56 per set.

After her collegiate career, Cooper also played professionally overseas in six different countries. She was a member of the USA Collegiate National Team that won a silver medal in 2009. Afterward, Cooper had many highlights professionally which included winning best blocker in the Puerto Rican and French League.

At Tulsa, Cooper was on the staff for a Golden Hurricane squad that made their first postseason appearance in six years. Tulsa made back-to-back National Invitational Volleyball tournaments and advanced to the semifinals in 2019.
