Cheryl Weaver is the Head Volleyball Coach and Program Director at The Lovett School
Cheryl Weaver is an experienced volleyball coach, former professional athlete, and nationally recognized leader in player development. With a coaching career that spans high school and national levels, she has helped athletes earn AVCA All-Region and All-American honors, Player of the Year awards, and selections to the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program (NTDP).
As the former Director of Player Development at The Volleyball Factory, Cheryl led national tryouts, evaluated top-level talent, and guided student-athletes through the college recruitment process. Her expertise in on-court operations, talent assessment, and athlete mentorship has consistently produced results at the highest levels.
Cheryl’s athletic career is one of distinction. A three-time Gatorade State Player of the Year and USA Today Fab Fifty selection, she was the nation’s #1-ranked recruit as a senior middle blocker. At Long Beach State University, she won a National Championship, was named a three-time First-Team AVCA All-American, and earned Big West Conference Player of the Year honors twice. She went on to play professionally for over eight years and represented the USA National Team from 2002 to 2012.
Cheryl Weaver is known for her high standards, competitive drive, and ability to build athletes of character. Her leadership continues to impact the volleyball community and inspire the next generation of elite players.
