Coach Andre Hockaday

Andre Hockaday is an experienced baseball coach, instructor, and founder of On Deck Batting Cages in Prince George’s County, Maryland. With a lifelong passion for baseball and youth development, Coach Hockaday brings extensive coaching, player development, and program management experience to Nike Baseball Camp.

Coach Hockaday's coaching journey includes developing and coaching his son, Andre Hockaday Jr., who played high school baseball at Riverdale Baptist School and continued his baseball career at Lincoln University. His coaching experience also includes serving as Head Baseball Coach at DCI Middle School, coaching competitive 15U summer baseball, and providing individual and group baseball instruction at On Deck Batting Cages.

As the owner and operator of On Deck Batting Cages, Coach Hockaday has successfully developed and managed baseball training programs, organized camps and clinics, and provided young athletes with access to professional-grade training equipment and year-round development opportunities. His experience includes player development, team management, hitting instruction, and creating structured training environments that help athletes improve their skills and confidence.

Coach Hockaday is dedicated to developing well-rounded athletes by emphasizing strong fundamentals, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude. His goal is to provide an engaging and rewarding camp experience where players of all skill levels can improve their abilities, build confidence, and develop a lasting love for the game
