Craig Massey
Camp Director

Craig Massey has established a solid reputation for himself as one of the most respected hitting coaches in the West Tennessee region.
Craig began his college baseball career at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tn, where he played for three seasons, collecting three First Team All-Conference awards and one All-American selection. He then transferred to Faulkner University in Alabama for his senior year, where he added another selection to the First Team All-Conference and an All-American selection. He began his professional baseball career in the Pecos League in 2014. Since then, he has played in six different highly respected Independent Leagues, including the Australian Baseball League. As a player, he has collected seven All-Star selections, three batting titles, one gold glove selection, and an MVP selection. In his first season as a hitting coach with the Florence Y’alls, he had five players selected for the All-Star game and ended the year with the top offensive team in the league. This year, he will enter his twelfth season of his professional playing career and his second season as the hitting coach with the Florence Y’alls in the Frontier League.
Although he is still currently playing out his professional career, Craig has been training and developing young athletes for over 10 years. When he was presented with the opportunity to purchase his own training facility, it was one he could not pass up. With this opportunity, Massey Athletics was founded in November of 2019. Massey Athletics has continued to grow, adding six highly regarded trainers and a travel ball organization that began in 2024. Also, in 2024, Craig became part owner of the Oakland Ballers in the MLB Partner Pioneer League. Craig is dedicated to sharing his knowledge of the game with players in Crockett County and surrounding areas.
