D'Andre Weaver moves from the field to the coaching ranks for the Lawrence University football program in 2022. Weaver will coach the Lawrence quarterbacks. The native of Orlando, Fla., was a standout quarterback for the Vikings and was chosen for the All-Midwest Conference team in 2021.
Weaver put together a stellar senior season in 2021 as he thrived in head coach Tony Aker's offense. A three-year starter for the Vikings, Weaver completed 185-of-345 passes for 2,250 yards and a school-record 23 touchdowns in 2021. The 2,250 yards ranks as the third-best season in Lawrence history. He threw for a career-high 353 yards against Beloit College in 2021, and that ranks as the seventh-best game total in school history. He also threw for 341 yards in the season opener against Finlandia University.
Weaver completed 329-of-650 passes for 4,061 yards and 37 touchdowns for his career. He ranks sixth in school history in touchdown passes, sixth in completions, seventh in attempts and eighth in passing yardage.
Weaver earned a bachelor's degree in economics with an interdisciplinary in innovation and entrepreneurship.
