Coach Phelan has been Head Tennis Coach at Fayetteville High School for 11 years.
As a junior, Darin was the #1 ranked player in the state of Arkansas, leading him to play for the University of Arkansas. He spent all 4 years there where he captained the team. After his playing career at the University of Arkansas, Darin became the Assistant Tennis Coach at Arkansas for the next 7 years.
During his tenure at Arkansas, he was awarded the ITA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year in 2006, coached several ITA top 20 players and coached one player to the #1 singles ranking in Division I college tennis.
Coach Phelan has now coach at Fayetteville for 11 years where he has led them to 9 singles/doubles state champions and 2 team state championship titles.
