Emerson Lin

Coach Emerson’s background in basketball started as team manager at Mills High School, California. In 2020, returning to his roots, Emerson joined his alma mater’s Junior Varsity Boy Basketball coaching staff, working under Coach BIll Nicolay. While coaching at Mills, Emerson was concurrently coaching Basketball with the Warrior Basketball Academy developing and teaching younger athletes the fundamentals of Basketball.
During his free time, Emerson is the lead bread baker at Backhaus in San Mateo, California, getting to showcase his passion and skills in the culinary world learned from his time at Le Cordon Bleu in Japan and Taiwan. Alongside his culinary education, Emerson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from University of California Santa Cruz.
Emerson finds his time coaching to be exceptionally rewarding and enjoys seeing his team improve their communication and technical abilities on the court. Today, Emerson continues to use the framework of Basketball to instill young athlete the importances of work ethic, leadership, and communication.
