Evan Dresel - Camp Director

Evan Dresel was named on June 24, 2021, as the seventh head coach in the history of Oklahoma Christian’s women’s soccer program, which began play with the 1993 season. In 2024, Dresel completed his fourth season at the helm of the Eagles program.

During his time in Edmond, Okla, Dresel holds a 24-26-19 record, including an 14-21-15 record in Lone Star competition. Between Oklahoma Christian and Mid-America Christian University, Dresel has accumulated a 151-110-24 all-time coaching record.

Following OC's first winning season since 2009 in 2023, Dresel's Eagles produced the most successful season of the program's NCAA Division II era with a 10-5-4 stand and a 6-4-3 LSC record. Oklahoma Christian qualified for the seven-team Lone Star Conference Tournament for the first time in program history as the league's No. 7 seed.

Under Dresel, 2024 LSC Forward of the Year Kyla Lovelace became just the second D2CCA First Team All-Region honoree in program history and first since Rubi Villegas Aguilar in 2015. Lovelace, who spent her entire OC career with Dresel as head coach, became the program's all-time goals leader (31) in the DII era.

In addition to Lovelace, Jaycie Daggs (Second Team, All-Freshman Team) and Breanna Wooten (Third Team) received 2024 All-Conference nods under Dresel's tutelage.

In 2023, Dresel led the Eagles to their first winning season since 2009 with a 6-5-6 overall record. Coming with the winning season was OC's second ever D2CCA All-Region honoree in the Division II era in Brooklyn Fink. That same year, Fink and Kyla Lovelace were each named Second Team All-LSC honorees while Dresel produced All-Freshman recipient Ruta Andrews and two All-Academic selections.

In his first season with the Eagles in fall 2021, he guided OC to a 4-8-4 record, matching the total number of wins the team had posted in the previous two seasons combined. The Eagles, who posted their highest win total since 2016, remained in contention for a berth in the Lone Star Conference tournament until the final game of the season.

Dresel came to OC after a successful stint at Mid-America Christian, a NAIA/NCCAA school located in southwest Oklahoma City. He served as the MACU women's head coach from 2019 until June 2021 after working from 2010 to 2018 as the school’s co-head coach of the women's and men's teams at MACU. In 11 seasons guiding the MACU women, he posted a 127-84-5 record.

The Evangels won the NCCAA Central Region title in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019 and were a regional finalist in 2011, 2012 and 2013 under Dresel. MACU also was competitive in the NAIA's Sooner Athletic Conference during his tenure, going 56-43-4 in league play, including an 8-1 mark this spring.

MACU went 15-3 overall during the 2020-21 split season, recording its most wins since joining the NAIA in 2008. Dresel was named as both the SAC and NCCAA Central Region coach of the year.

At MACU, Dresel coached 22 NCCAA All-America selections and 35 All-SAC performers.

In addition to his work at MACU, Dresel served as co-head coach (along with current Westmoore High School athletic director Zach Bice, with whom he worked at MACU) of the Oklahoma City FC team that competes in the Women's Soccer Premier League from 2016 to 2019, going 23-11-8 over those four seasons.

Originally from Mustang, Dresel played collegiately for Southern Nazarene, finishing his career in 2006, when he earned All-SAC first-team honors. He was a part of the SNU team that advanced to the NAIA semifinals in 2005.

He holds a national "C" coaching license and spent six years as the competitive coach for South Lakes Soccer Club's Cosmos '94 girls team. Dresel began his coaching career while still in college, serving as an assistant coach for the boys and girls teams at his prep alma mater, Mustang High School, from 2002 to 2005.

He was the boys head coach at Mount St. Mary High School in Oklahoma City in 2007 and in 2008, he coached both the boys and girls teams at that school. Also in 2008, Dresel served as an Olympic Development Program assistant coach.
