Hibshman

John Hibshman is the Winona State Warriors head coach for men's and women's cross country. Hibshman also serves as an assistant coach for the women's track & field team.

Prior to Winona State, Coach Hibshman spent four years as assistant cross country and assistant men's track & field coach at UW-La Crosse.

He earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Lebanon Valley College (Pa.) in 1987 and his master's degree in physical education and exercise science from Michigan State University in 1991.

Hibshman was co-captain and MVP in cross country at Lebanon Valley (Pa.) from 1984-86 and co-captain and MVP in track & field from 1984-87. Named to the Dean's List, he exemplified himself as a collegiate student-athlete.

A four-year varsity letter winner in cross country and three-year varsity letter winner in track & field at Annville-Cleona (Pa.) High School, Hibshman competed in seven state championships (four cross country, three track & field). He was team MVP in cross country and still holds the school record for the 1,600-meter run of 4:19 set at the 1982 state meet.

He was inducted into the Central Pennsylvania Hall of Fame for distance running in high school, college, and post-collegiate in 2000.

Hibshman served as head cross country coach at Pewamo-Westphalia (Mich.) High School in 1990 and head track & field field coach at Annville-Cleona (Pa.) High School in 1989. Hibshman was also the assistant cross country coach at Lebanon Valley (Pa.) in 1988. He was the assistant distance coach for track & field and cross country at Onalaska (Wis.) High School from 2011-15.
