Kara Mupo Stanford Womens Lacrosse

Kara Mupo enters her first season with the Stanford women's lacrosse program in 2018-19 and will serve as the offensive coordinator.

A two-time national champion at Northwestern, Mupo spent two years as an assistant at William & Mary and most recently served as an assistant at Stony Brook where she helped the SeaWolves to a 20-win season and a No. 1 national ranking in 2018. Under Mupo, he Stony Brook offense led the country in points per game (29.28), scoring margin (+10.80), assists per game (11.23) and shot percentage (.547) last season.

A native of Rocky Point, N.Y., and a graduate of Rocky Point High School, Mupo spent her collegiate career as at Northwestern in which she helped the Wildcats capture a pair of NCAA national championships and guided the team to four consecutive Final Four appearances. Mupo served as a team captain at Northwestern during her senior season and finished her collegiate career with 186 points (136g, 50a).

A former member of the U.S. Women's National Team, Mupo plays professionally in the Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) for the New England Command, who kicked off their inaugural season this summer. In 2016, she was a member of the Philadelphia Force and earned all-star status after she lead the league in goals.

Mupo now plays in the WPLL (Women's Professional Lacrosse League), for the New England Command, who kicked off their inaugural season this summer. She also was fortunate enough to win the first WPLL Championship with the New England Command and lead the league in goals

Mupo earned a bachelor of science degree in human development and psychological services from Northwestern in 2014, and received a master's degree in sports administration at Northwestern in 2015.
