Lisa Vogeley - Staff

On staff this summer is Lisa Vogeley. Coach Vogeley enters her second season as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Connecticut College in 2018-19.

In her first season, the Camels posted strong non-conference victories over Lebanon Valley and Endicott. The Dutchmen advanced to the championship game of the MAC Commonwealth Tournament, while the Gulls advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Off the field, the program was named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad after posting a GPA which was above a 3.3 in both semesters.

Vogeley came to Connecticut College after quickly turning the Roger Williams women’s lacrosse program into a conference powerhouse, which included registering a 27-5 league record and advancing to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament championship game in all four seasons as the head coach of the Hawks. In 2016, Vogeley was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Coach of the Year after leading the program to its first conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. She also mentored two conference player of the year winners as well as the league’s rookie of the year in 2016.

The success of the Roger Williams program extended off the field as well under Vogeley’s guidance. Every student-athlete in her four senior classes graduated, and the program was named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad every year.

Prior to earning her first head coaching position, Vogeley served as an assistant coach at St. Mary’s College in California. In this role, she worked primarily with the defenders and goalies for the Division I program.

Vogeley also had an accomplished career as a Division I women’s lacrosse player and defender at St. Mary’s before beginning her professional coaching career. Despite redshirting in 2005 due to an ACL injury, she ranks fourth in school history in games started and sixth in games played while also serving as a three-year team captain.

A native of Port Washington, New York, Vogeley earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from St. Mary’s in 2007 as well as a master’s degree in sports studies from the same institution in 2009.
