Maddy Price (Olympian)

Maddy price

Maddy Price’s Olympic dream became a reality in Tokyo, 2021. Her road to Tokyo was filled with uncertainty as she dealt with coming back from foot surgery, the global pandemic and more. Despite the odds, she made the Canadian Olympic Team in the Women’s 4x400m Relay, where she ran the second leg and helped lead the team to a 4th place finish, just narrowly missing the podium by six-tenths of a second. Far more important than the accomplishment of becoming an Olympian is how she approached the process... with a gritty and “day by day” attitude. Get excited for Maddy's talk as she shares about her Olympic experience and the growth and lessons learned from detours along her road to the world's biggest athletic stage.

Price ran and studied at Duke University (‘18), leaving with 6x All-American honors as well as a Masters in Management Studies at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business (‘19). She is also a mentor to the next generation of female athletes and advocates for athlete mental health. Maddy is training and coaching in Durham, North Carolina in hopes of competing in the upcoming World Championships this summer in Budapest and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
