Nicole Hinkle - Camp Director

Directing camp will be Millersville Head Women's Coach Nicole Hinkle!

Nicole Hinkle was named the new head coach of the women's lacrosse program in October of 2025. Hinkle comes to Millersville after five seasons at Misericordia.

"I am excited for Coach Hinkle to lead the Millersville University women's lacrosse program," said Director of Athletics Kate Corcoran. "Nicole brings with her a wealth of knowledge and history in women's lacrosse, and her connections in the Mid-Atlantic region made her the ideal candidate to take over the program. Throughout the interview process, she displayed a clear vision, passion, and commitment to a well-rounded student-athlete experience. I believe she can build upon the recent success within the lacrosse program and broader Millersville community."

Hinkle led Misericordia to a MAC Freedom championship game appearance in 2023, as well as winning records and postseason appearances three times. Three of her players, including the school record holder, rank in Misericordia's top 10 in career points. She also coached the players who set the single-season records for assists and draw controls per game.

"Millersville is the right place for me because of the high academic offerings and the opportunity to progress an already competitive lacrosse team even further," said Hinkle. "There is also a strong sense of community in the University, alumni, and the team that I am looking forward to growing. The team is very driven and determined. I feel my knowledge of the game will be an asset to them."

Hinkle's familiarity with Division II and the PSAC runs deep. She started her collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Shippensburg. From 2018 through the 2021 season, Hinkle worked closely with the team's defense and goalkeepers. Hinkle also coached goalies for NEMS Lacrosse Club for two years.

"I am a very passionate and driven coach," said Hinkle. "I focus on developing each individual to ensure the team is moving forward as one. We are expecting the team to be role models on campus, in the community, and always put their best foot forward."

Hinkle was also a successful student-athlete at Wingate. She was a goalie for three seasons before shifting to a defensive role as a senior. She earned SAC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice and All-SAC Honorable Mention.

Hinkle inherits a program that went 11-7 and reached the PSAC Tournament in 2025. Millersville has a long history of competitiveness and while there has been turnover in the coaching ranks recently, the program had just three coaches from its foundation in 1967 through 2018. Millersville has reached the postseason three times since 2019.

"For all alumni and team supporters, I am excited to build new relationships and keep them feeling connected to our program and University," said Hinkle. "I want them to still feel a sense of home and know that we value them. The coaches and players appreciate their support."
