Olivia Vance is the Assistant Coach at Temple University.
Before Temple
2022: Vance helped the Rockets to the 2022 National Invitational Volleyball Championships after a 19-13 season. The Rockets advanced to the second round of the NIVC tournament to play Western Carolina after knocking off Clemson in the first round. . . Vance played in 110 sets in all 32 matches and was third on the team with 282.5 points, 227 kills, and a .284 hitting percentage. Defensively, the Michigan native was second on the Toledo squad with 88 blocks (65 block assists, 23 solo blocks).
2021: Academic All-MAC…Played in 29 matches and appeared in the starting lineup 27 times…Averaged 1.00 blocks/set and 2.20 kills/set…Blocks/set average is tied for eighth all-time in school history…Ranked seventh in the MAC in blocks/set…18 matches with at least three blocks…Eight matches with double-digit kills…Season-high seven blocks against Valparaiso (Sept. 11); Also had 11 kills in the match against Valpo…Had a stretch of five straight matches with at least four blocks from Oct. 1-Oct. 29…Double-digit kills in four straight matches from Oct. 29-Nov. 6…Season-high 15 terminations against Chattanooga (Sept. 4)…10 kills and four blocks in win over Kent State (Oct. 2)…12 terminations and four blocks in three-set sweep against Eastern Michigan (Nov. 5)…10 kills and five blocks in NIVC play against Indiana State (Dec. 2).
2020-21: Academic All-MAC…Starter in all 18 matches she played…Ranked ninth in the MAC in blocks (0.97/set)…One of four MAC players with at least 10 blocks in a match (10 blocks in three sets at Miami, March 9)…Six matches with at least five blocks….Also averaged 2.36 kills/set and hit .307…Nine matches with double-digit kills…Season-high 19 kills on two occasions: Feb. 26 at Ohio and March 26 at Akron…10 kills, eight blocks in season opener against western Michigan…Hit .500 with 17 kills and three blocks at Bowling Green (March 23)…16 kills and six blocks in season finale at Akron (March 27).
2019: Starter in all 28 matches…One of four players to appear in every set…Averaged 1.47 kills/set and 0.34 blocks/set…Season-high 13 kills at Ball State (Oct. 31)…10 kills, hit .417 against Rider (Sept. 6)…Five matches with at least five blocks, including a season-high seven against Loyola (Aug. 31).
Prep
Three-year letterwinner at Saline High School...Hit .368 during her career and averaged 2.8 digs/set...Averaged 3.4 kills/set as a senior, a career-best rate, and also hit .376...Helped lead Saline to a 29-12-2 record during her senior season...Earned all-conference and all-region honors during her high school career...Won two national championships playing for Team Detroit Volleyball Club on the AAU circuit...Earned AAU All-America status twice: at AAU Nationals and at USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships.
