Rachel Jones is in her first year as assistant strength & conditioning coach at Binghamton University. She works with numerous teams, including softball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, soccer, and tennis. Her focus is on the development of strength, power, speed, and agility in order to increase athletic performance. Prior to Binghamton, Jones worked with various athletes and coaches at Delta State University, the University of Delaware, and private strength facilities around the northeast. She is also beginning her first season as the assistant varsity softball coach at Union Endicott High School.

Jones played collegiate softball at the University of Delaware from 2009-2012. As a four year starting outfielder for the Blue Hens, Jones helped the team reach two CAA championship tournaments in 2011 and 2012. She was a CAA All-Rookie Team selection in 2009, won the Sportsmanship Award in 2010, is tied for the school record for most hits in a single game, and ranks among the top 20 in UD history in games played. She looks to bring her passion and energy for the game into the training of all of her athletes, so they may reach all of their goals, both on and off the field.

Jones received her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology with a minor in strength & conditioning from Delaware, and has received her CSCS certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is currently completing a master’s degree in exercise science at SUNY Cortland.
