Ryan Robie
Camp Director
Coach Ryan Robie is currently serving as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at De Soto High School, where he is currently in his 11th year leading the Wildcats program. Over the course of his career, Coach Robie has amassed more than 150 wins and established De Soto as one of the most consistent and competitive programs in the region.
His leadership and impact have been recognized at both the conference and state levels. Coach Robie was named the Eddie Ryan Coach of the Year (an award that recognizes the top coach of impact in the KS/MO metro) by the Greater Kansas City Coaches Association in 2024 and earned United Kansas Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2020. In 2025, he was selected as a Kansas Coach of the Year finalist, and he has been chosen to coach the Kansas All-Star Game twice during his career.
Under his direction, the De Soto program has advanced to the Kansas State Tournament five times in ten seasons, reflecting a sustained commitment to player development, team culture, and competitive excellence.
Beyond the high school season, Coach Robie brings extensive experience in player development through his work with PGC Basketball, where he has served as a summer director for the past five years. In that role, he has led 1000+ athletes through a five-day immersive basketball experience, focusing on skill development, decision-making, and leadership growth.
At the core of Coach Robie’s coaching philosophy is a passion for supporting athletes throughout their basketball journey. He believes basketball is a powerful tool for creating core memories, building confidence, and developing not only strong players—but strong leaders and great people. His approach emphasizes growth, accountability, and using the game as a platform to positively impact athletes on and off the court.
