Martin Hyatte
Camp Director
Coach Martin Hyatte was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, and has dedicated his life to football as both a player and a coach.
A four-year varsity starter and two-time All-Conference selection at Rockford East High School, he continued his football career at Wartburg College in Iowa, where he became a three-year letter winner, two-time All-Conference defensive end, and the first African American team captain in program history.
Coach Hyatte began his coaching career at Marian University in Indianapolis as an assistant defensive line coach, helping the program reach the 2014 NAIA National Championship and win the 2015 NAIA National Title.
Since returning to Rockford in 2016, he has focused on developing youth and high school athletes across multiple programs, including the Jr. Indians, Rockton Rebels, Rockford Renegades, Rockford Wolves, and Rockford Lutheran Jr. Crusaders. His Rockton Rebels team captured State and Regional Championships before advancing to the Pop Warner Super Bowl at Disney World.
Coach Hyatte has emerged as a leader in the flag football space. His 14U flag team won the Chicagoland Regional Championship and will compete in the NFL Flag National Tournament in July of 2026.
He has hosted an Uncommitted Senior Showcase, giving high school athletes a final opportunity to be evaluated by college programs, and he coordinated the camp structure for the James Robinson Football Camp.
Across all levels, Coach Hyatte is known for his faith, building disciplined athletes, strong leaders, and competitive teams. His focus is accountability, fundamentals, and long-term growth spiritually, mentally and physically.
