Ryan Wockenfus

Ryan Wockenfus is entering his fourth year on the Lawrence University coaching staff for the 2019-20 season, he brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the team. A native of New London, Wis., Wockenfus spent the 2015–16 season as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball team at Marian University.

Prior to that, he served as an assistant for three seasons at St. Mary’s (Minn.) University and worked for one season as an assistant at Winona (Minn.) High School.

A 2011 graduate of St. Mary’s with a degree in elementary education, Wockenfus was a basketball and track and field standout for the Cardinals. Along with playing hoops, Wockenfus was a two-time All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference performer in the javelin and set the school record in the event. After graduation, Wockenfus worked on the men’s basketball staff while earning a Master’s degree in management.

Wockfenfus was a three-sport prep star at New London High School. A basketball, football and track and field standout, Wockenfus was named New London’s Male Athlete of the Year.

Wockenfus and his wife, Nicole, have a daughter, Eloise, and live in Kimberly.
