Sean Hanrahan

Sean Hanrahan enters his 14th season at Head Men's Basketball Coach at Warner University. Hanrahan has worked the Michael Jordan Flight School for the past 15 years and has ran clinics with NBA All-Stars including Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, and many current NBA, WNBA and NBA-D league players. In 2017, Hanrahan was a USA Basketball Men's U19 Court Coach for the 2017 FIBA World Cup Championships.

He has reestablished the Warner program amongst the nation's best as he has led the team to a top 25 national ranking every year during his time at Warner. Hanrahan currently has the second highest winning percentage (.627) amongst all Warner men's basketball coaches while solidifying his name in the Warner men's basketball record book as the quickest coach to 80 wins.

Prior to joining Warner, Hanrahan was heavily involved in all aspects of the Florida Southern program during his five years there, from recruiting to the highly successful booster organization, the Sixth Man Club. While at FSC, he helped the Moccasins to a 102-45 record, two conference titles and two trips to the NCAA Tournament. The Mocs were annually ranked among the top ten defensive teams in the country, in both scoring average and field goal percentage defense. Former Moccasin's head coach Tony Longa credited his work in player development, individual workouts and strength training as one of the key elements to the program's success during that time. He was also instrumental in bringing in several top recruiting classes.

Prior to his time at Florida Southern, Hanrahan was on the staff of another local Division II power, Rollins College in Winter Park. He spent two years (1999-01) at Rollins, and played a major recruiting role in acquiring what Tars' Coach Tom Klusman said is one of his best recruiting classes in 25 years - a class that helped put the Tars in the NCAA Tournament in 2003 and 2004 and an Elite Eight finish. Hanrahan also played a huge role in making the 2000 summer camp for kids the most attended session in Klusman's camp history. In addition to being an assistant coach, Hanrahan was also the head strength & conditioning coach at Rollins for men's basketball.

Hanrahan received his bachelor's degree from Hanover College in Indiana, with a double major in psychology and physical education with a emphasis on exercise physiology and nutrition. While living in Orlando, Hanrahan ran his own business as a certified trainer.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Hanrahan played basketball at Hanover under Coach Mike Beitzel, the owner of over 400 career victories. During Hanharan's playing career, Hanover's teams were ranked in the top ten nationally for field goal percentage defense and all four years in scoring defense. He was also the president of the Big Brothers & Big Sisters program at Hanover.

Hanrahan played prep basketball for four years at Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati, helping lead his team to three district championships. During his junior and senior years, Hanrahan was a city leader in three-pointers made, points and scoring average and was named an All Conference player. He was an all-region selection as a senior and played in the East-West Ohio All-Star game.

A true student and teacher of the game, Hanrahan has attend and helped run 11 Glenn Wilkes/Nike Basketball Clinics over the last seven years. During the last three summers at the Michael Jordan Flight School he worked out 9 NBA first round draft picks, including 2005 picks Deron Williams (Utah Jazz), Chris Paul (New Orleans Hornets), Sean May (Charlotte Bobcats) and David Lee (New York Knicks).

Hanrahan and his wife Brandi reside in Lake Wales with their daughter Mya Ann and son Jordan.
