Shawn Yoder

Shawn Yoder is the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Norfolk State University.
Shawn Yoder enters into his first year with the Saints' volleyball program.
He previously coached at Charlottesville High School as the head coach, the University of Mary Washington as an assistant coach, as well as running his own beach volleyball training group for both adults and juniors for the past year.
Shawn has been playing indoor and beach volleyball at the Amateur and Semi-Pro level for over 10 years. Shawn continues to compete on the Pro-Am beach volleyball circuit both locally and regionally.
Shawn spent 8+ years serving in the Army, as an Interrogator, Linguist, and Media exploitation specialist. His service in the military has taken him to many places across the world.
Shawn is a computer science major and computer forensics engineer, as well as a certified computer forensic examiner. His work in the Department of Defense and law enforcement allows him to travel the world. He speaks three foreign languages fluently, has been to over 10 countries, and four continents. Shawn is the youngest of eight kids, six brothers and one sister. Originally from Florida, he now resides in Sterling, Virginia.
