With extensive experience developing youth players at the highest levels, Tolya Rubtsov is widely regarded as one of Colorado’s most influential and innovative coaching minds. As the Founder and Partner of Soccer IQ Academy, he has built one of the state’s premier development programs, one that has produced USA Youth National Team players, top Division I college athletes, and professionals competing in MLS and international leagues. His coaching expertise is rooted in a modern, possession‑based methodology that blends European‑style intelligence with elite technical standards, helping young athletes think faster, play smarter, and elevate every aspect of their game.
Tolya holds both a USSF A License and a UEFA B License, bringing world‑class coaching credentials to the players he works with. His pathway in the game includes coaching roles across some of the strongest youth and professional environments in the U.S., including serving as an assistant coach for 1904 FC in San Diego, a professional club competing in the NISA league, and leading teams within the Development Academy systems of Nomads SC and the Colorado Rapids.
