at Nike Field Hockey Camps

Join the our field hockey camp at Hampton Roads Academy this summer! Open to girls, ages 8-17, this camp is perfect for all skill levels. Led by Hampton Roads Academy Head Coach Callie Poole and her skilled team, players will enhance their field hockey skills, work on their fundamentals, and prepare for the 2026 season.

Through hands-on training, strategy sessions, and team-building, athletes will develop confidence, connections, and a lasting passion for the game. Don’t miss this chance to grow and have fun, register today!

Highlights Include

  • Instruction from college coaches and players
  • Partner Camp of USA Field Hockey; sanctioned to make referrals to USAFH Nexus program
  • Sticks for Starters option for ages 8-12
  • Morning and afternoon training sessions for ages 12-17

    Callie Poole is the current Head Field Hockey Coach at Hampton Roads Academy.

    A championship-winning field hockey player at Norfolk Academy and former collegiate athlete at the University of Mary Washington, Coach Callie brings a strong playing and coaching background to the field. She has experience developing athletes and building competitive programs at the high school level. At the Hampton Roads Academy, she leads program development and mentors student-athletes. Her work focuses on skill growth, team culture, and helping players excel both on and off the field.

2026 OVERVIEW

  • Dates: June 22-25
  • Age Group: 8-17
  • Gender: Girls
  • Camp Type: Half-Day, Day
  • Schedule: 9:00am-4:00pm each day (Monday-Thursday).
  • Programs: All Skills, Sticks for Starters
  • Check-in: 8:30am on Monday, June 22nd
  • Lunch: Lunch is provided for full day campers. Lunch is not provided for youth campers aged 8-12 (Sticks for Starters).

2026 CAMP OPTIONS

Please note: Camp schedules and details may be subject to change. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level.

STICKS FOR STARTERS
  • Dates: June 22-25
  • Gender/Ages: Girls, Ages 8-12
  • Skill: Beginner
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-12:00pm, Monday-Thursday
  • Check-in: 8:30am on day 1
  • Program: This Sticks for Starters program is designed for players who are just starting out or are new to the sport of field hockey. Campers can get a jump-start on their stick work, learn fundamental concepts, and build a solid foundation from highly skilled staff in a fun and encouraging environment.
ALL SKILLS CAMPS
  • Dates: June 22-25
  • Gender/Ages: Girls, Ages 12-17
  • Skill: All Skill levels
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Thursday
  • Check-in: 8:30am on day 1
  • Program: This All Skills program is geared towards players of all abilities. The camp program includes stick work instruction & skills, technical & tactical training, offensive & defensive skills, and positioning work. Goalie-specific training is available as well

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Daily training sessions
  • Lunch: Lunch is provided for full day campers. Lunch is not provided for youth campers aged 8-12 (Sticks for Starters).
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Camp Gear: All campers receive a Nike Field Hockey Camps package (reversible jersey, ball, lanyard) and other fun prizes.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director’s discretion.
  • Equipment Needed: Hockey stick, water bottle, mouth guard, shin guards, turf shoes (goalies must bring full goalie protective equipment)
  • Inclement Weather Plan: TBA
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Athletic, on-field clothing (t-shirts, shorts)
  • Turf shoes or sneakers
  • Reversible jersey
  • Socks
  • Hockey Stick(s)
  • Mouth guard
  • Shin guards
  • Goggles (not required, but recommended)
  • Court shoes for indoor play in case of rain
  • Goalies must bring their own full protective equipment
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Small gym bag/backpack
  • Packed snacks
  • Spending money
  • Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNTS

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $45 discount. Discounts are not available for camps priced at $250 or less. TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
