Get ready for an amazing experience in Storrs, CT! US Sports is thrilled to announce the return of our golf camp program to University of Connecticut. Join UConn Head Coach, Dave Pezzino, for an incredible junior golf experience and top-notch golf facilities across the state.
All Abilities Overnight
The All Abilities Overnight experience includes golf instruction, course play, meals, housing and a curriculum structured for players with previous golf experience. Players will stay overnight in the dormitories at the University of Connecticut and travel to Ellington Ridge Country Club, a private, 18 hole championship golf course, for daily instruction and play. Coach Pezzino is looking forward to a fun-filled week of instruction where players can learn what it takes to bring their skills to the next level.
Elite Overnight
The Elite Overnight experience is designed for tournament-level players who aspire to play college golf and elevate their competitive results. The curriculum mirrors the training habits of championship golfers, focusing on fitness, mental strength, time management, course strategy, academics and college preparation. Players will stay in the residence halls at the University of Connecticut and train each day at Ellington Ridge Country Club as well as the UConn Golf Team’s practice facility inside Gampel Pavilion. It is encouraged to participate in both the all abilities overnight and elite overnight experience for a complete, progressive development pathway.
This camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender).

Camp Details
This program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced level golfer, our world-class instruction and coaching provides junior golfers with the necessary skills to compete and win. These camps offer training and real competition scenarios that develop every part of your game. During the week, campers work on short game, putting, approach shots, course management, and will test their new skills in weekly competitions and 18-hole tournaments. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

- All Abilities Overnight: Sunday-Wednesday (4-Day)
- Check-In: Registration for all abilities campers occurs on Sunday from 1:00-2:30pm at the University of Connecticut on campus at the South Campus dorms. Camp opening meeting (parent attendance optional) starting at 3pm, campers will then be bussed to the golf course in the afternoon.
- Check-out: Camp graduation is at 12:00-12:30 pm on Wednesday. Campers depart following the awards ceremony / graduation ceremony at 1:00pm and is for campers only.
- Elite Overnight: Wednesday-Friday (3-Day)
- Check-In: Registration for elite campers occurs on Wednesday from 2:00pm at the University of Connecticut on campus at the South Campus dorms. Camp opening meeting (parent attendance optional) starting at 3pm, campers will then be bussed to the golf course in the afternoon.
- Check-out: Camp graduation is at 11:30am on Friday. Campers depart following the awards ceremony / graduation ceremony at 12:00pm and is for campers only.
- *Please note: A hard copy of the signed health form will be required in order to check-in. You can also email a copy directly to our camp operators per the email sent out this week. Campers will not be able to check in without this documentation, as it is a state requirement for youth camps in Connecticut.
- All Abilities Overnight: Sunday-Wednesday (4-Day)
- Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
- Program:
- The All Abilities program is designed to improve the fundamental skills needed for golf including putting, chipping, bunker play, and full-swing. On the first day of camp, all participants will be evaluated by the instructors and placed into groups based on age and ability level in various individual, small group and full group settings.
- The Elite Camp program is specifically designed for the tournament-level player who wishes to play college golf and improve their tournament results. The curriculum is geared towards players who are playing competitively. This camp addresses the practice habits of championship golfers, fitness, mental strength, college preparation, time management, course management, academics and team camaraderie.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning instruction and afternoon course play at a rotation of golf courses.
- Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
- Supervision: Campers are under staff supervision at all times as staff members live in adjacent rooms to overnight campers. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
- Camper Amenity Package: Campers will receive an amenity package including a Nike hat, drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, camp workbook, and graduation certificate.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio:
- All Abilities Overnight: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio
- Elite Overnight: 1:4 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
- Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
- Facilities: Ellington Ridge Country Club & Gampel Pavillion (Elite)
- Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
- Housing:
- Dorm: TBD
- Campers Per Room: Campers will be housed in double rooms.
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Linens: Included.
- Air Conditioning: Included
- Lost Key Assessment: Campers are issued two keys at check in, in the event of a lost key there is a $100 fee per key assessed by UCONN. In the event your camper loses their key(s) during camp, please bring a check in the amount due payable to US SPORTS CAMPS at check-out.
- Spending Money: We recommend that each overnight camper bring $60-75 per week of spending money to cover incidentals like snacks, souvenirs and other activities. Campers are responsible for their own spending money. Electronic payment methods are accepted at the establishments near campus.
*Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.

TRANSPORTATION
Nike Golf Camps does not provide ground transportation from airports, train stations or bus stations. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for getting campers to and from camp check-in/out. If you have a child flying to camp, please visit the Bradley International Airport website for information on ground service (www.bradleyairport.com). During the week, campers are transported to Ellington Ridge Country Club via private bus transportation.
