Nike Baseball Camps announces dates at McDaniel College
Nike Baseball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, will be returning to McDaniel College in 2020.
2020 is Coach Grant Neary’s second year at the helm for the McDaniel College Green Terror. He spent the previous six seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I school, New Jersey Institute of Technology. Coach Neary works to make sure campers leave camp better prepared as players to achieve their goal in their season. Coach Neary and his staff have created a camp environment where athletes can learn, grow, and improve their game.
This five-day camp will be held Monday, July 6th through Friday, July 10th, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Campers of all levels, ages 8-17, will have the opportunity to improve their hitting, fielding, throwing skills and in-game situations. Camper get to train daily on Preston Field, home of the NCAA Division III Green Terror’s. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals.
Amanda B. one of the parents from last summer stated, “Lance was able to try out a new position that he was unsure of his skills in and really thrived there. He realized his own strengths and was able to apply them daily. He became more confident playing with other boys his age and at his skill level. He really enjoyed the coaching, they were knowledgeable and encouraging. Lance was able to look up to them because they were confident in their abilities and they were great examples to the boys.”
Nike Baseball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
