Nike Baseball Camps Announces its new SoCal location!
Eight weeks of NIKE SoCal Youth Baseball Camp will be offered in Fullerton, California starting the week of June 27th and continue through the week of August 15th. See details below…
Directing the camp is Phil Van Horn. A former college Coach at Northridge/Big West and USC/Pac-10 (2006-2010), Phil has run year-round Youth/H.S. Showcase Camps and Private lesson businesses. He has also been a Coach/Scout for Bob Williams’ Goodwill Int’l Series and Area Code Games/MLB scout combine (1998-2006).
Over the years, Coach Van Horn has led Clinics and Coached U.S. teams to Championships at tournaments in Australia and China (2002-2006), and competed against squads from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Taiwan, Japan, China & Australia.
Phil is co-Owner of www.theBaseballNetwork.ning.com and is an Emmy-Award winning TV sports writer who was an original ESPN Baseball Tonight contributing reporter.
Enthusiastic MLB veteran Keith Ginter is Lead Instructor for the NIKE SoCal Youth Baseball Camps. A former Major League Player, Ginter played 2B/3B with the Astros, Brewers, A’s, Indians, Red Sox & White Sox from 2000-2005.
In college, Keith was named All-America at national powerhouse Cypress J.C. and Texas Tech University and as a result, was drafted in the 10th round of the 1998 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros.
Ginter is currently a Hitting and Infield Instructor at Harbor J.C. in L.A. and runs a Private Lesson/Personal Training business. At the moment, he coaches one of the nation’s top 9U & 10U programs at the A-Game Academy in Placentia, CA.
