Nike Basketball Camps Announces New Overnight Location in Connecticut for 2018
Nike Basketball Camps is proud to offer its first overnight site in northeast Connecticut at The Woodstock Academy this summer. The desire for overnight summer camps in Connecticut is growing at a tremendous rate and, with the newest addition in Woodstock, youth athletes now can attend camps all over the state.
The Nike Basketball Camps at The Woodstock Academy will host separate girls and boys weeks at the end of the summer – the only 2018 girls overnight basketball camp in Connecticut. Directors Marc Taney and Courtney Burns are both local collegiate women’s basketball coaches and have previously coached at other Nike Girls Basketball Camps. Taney recently finished his second year as the Women’s Head Basketball Coach at Newbury College, named 2017-18 New England Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year and Coach Burns just completed her first season as the Women’s Head Basketball Coach at Mitchell College.
“Coach Burns and I are looking forward to a week full of basketball instruction this summer. We’ve committed ourselves to providing the best camp experience for youth athletes who are passionate about the game and improving their skills. Our intent is to have the area’s top collegiate and established coaches providing excellent instruction and skill development for campers of all abilities to learn, grow, and improve their on and off-court skills”, states Coach Taney.
Open to female and male athletes of all abilities, this new Nike Basketball Camp location will help improve fundamentals of the game, team play skills, and basketball knowledge. Join the girls program July 29-August 2 or the boys program August 5-9.
