US Sports Camps Makes Repeat Donation of Nike Product and Shirts to Coaching Corps
US Sports Camps, located in San Rafael, CA and official operators of Nike Sports Camps, has made a donation of Nike apparel and shirts to Coaching Corps for the second year.
Coaching Corps is an organization led by motivated college students and community members who volunteer as coaches and mentors. Each coach is trained in youth development, behavior management, character building, and positive team culture. They serve in need communities all over the United States, by not only being coaches and role models, but by bringing after school sport programs to boys and girls. Coaching Corps believes, “Life’s a team sport and great coaches transform lives.” US Sports Camps says they work to support programs such as these, where coaches and individuals work for the betterment of youth athletes.
US Sports Camps CEO, Charlie Hoeveler said, in regards to the program, “Programs like these are so important to youth development are vital to building leadership skills, confidence, and learning life lessons. We are fortunate to have programs like these in place to help people who may not be able to afford it otherwise, and we are honored to be able to support them, and help accomplish their mission.”
As of this year, Coaching Corps has filled over 10,000 coaching positons and served over 100,000 youth. They have also partnered with over 230 afterschool programs and their volunteers have completed over 130,000 hours. Coaching Corps works to ensure that all youth, regardless of circumstance, have access to educational, social, and physical benefits of playing sports. Studies show that 9 million at-risk youth reach adult life without a mentor or role model in place. Programs like these work to fill the gap and enable youth to thrive as individuals and grow into a generation of leaders.
