US Sports Camps and the Northeast Football Clinic Announce New Partnership
San Rafael, CA - January 21, 2014. US Sports Camps announces a merger with the Northeast Football Clinic (NEFC). After 32 years serving as owner of the NEFC, Coach Doug Wood, Jr. has sold his highly successful football specialty clinic to US Sports Camps. The Northeast Football Clinic sets the standard for excellence in football training and education in a unique weekend experience. Founded by Doug Wood, Jr. in 1982, NEFC offers an outstanding clinic experience featuring Quarterback/Receiver and Lineman/Linebacker training.
The legacy of Founder Doug Wood will continue to grow with the professional marketing/registration expertise of US Sports. “For the past 32 years I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of The Northeast Football Clinics. My highlight has been the association with the athletes and the outstanding coaches. The clinic will be best served going forward by joining ranks with US Sports.Thousands of players have attended over the years to train at the beautiful prep school, Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA. The clinic utilizes two outdoor artificial turf fields, eight regulation grass fields and four indoor ½ field synthetic surfaces.
The NEFC hosts one session each summer, over 200 players attend each summer. The instruction is serious and the training is right for this time of the summer. NEFC offers training for Quarterbacks/Receivers and Offensive/Defensive Linemen/Linebackers for boys entering grades six to twelve. The Quarterback and Receiver Clinic is designed to give each athlete an opportunity to receive concentrated work in the areas of skill and coordinated movement that will aid him in developing the ability to perform at the peak of his potential in an organized Football Program. The Offensive/Defensive Lineman and Linebacker Clinic is designed to give each student athlete an opportunity to receive concentrated work in the areas of skill and coordinated movement that will aid each participant in developing the ability to perform at the peak of his potential in the trenches, where all games are decided.
